Archives For February 2012

Seriously…..my mom is 4′ 8″ and weighs 75 lbs. And I am NOT adopted! I guess I just got more dad genes than mom genes. I did get her charming personality!

Breakfast Omelette

February 18, 2012

Pears are on of my favorite fruits. A good ripe pair is so juicy and tasty. They are an excellent source of fiber (6 grams) and a good source of vitamin C for only 100 calories per serving.

There is nothing more filling than one of my big breakfast omelets. Today I did 4 egg whites, 2 turkey sausage links (next time one will be plenty) and a laughing cow cheese wedge.

Fold this over and top with a little salsa for a big breakfast!

Want a little something sweet and point free in your coffee? Sugar free (sweetened with nutra sweet?) Torani flavored sweeteners! Today I used Hazelnut. Yum!

I guess I was trying to see how many pictures I could get in this mornings breakfast!

Here is my 6 Points Plus Values Saturday morning breakfast!

Me and Jane

February 17, 2012

So while I seem to be at a stand still with my weight, I do like to change my look a lot. My hair started turning gray a LONG LONG time ago, and my hairdresser told me to embrace it. So I did. I think she has saved me a gazillion dollars!

I love to change my cut. I recently took in a picture of a celebrity and said….”I want this”. It was Jane Fonda. She is 74. I just kinda like old people stuff. Any who……..

Jane…..in case you confuse us.

Me……again……in case you’re confused.

I’m younger.

Oh, and today I made myself go to the gym, now I am late for Happy Hour!
Gotta go!

My Biggest Supporter

February 17, 2012

So I said to my husband last night, during a commercial break of American Idol (I LOVE Phil Phillips!), “I think I need you to be just be mean to me.” He’s like “What?”. I said, with great sarcasm, “Maybe you just need to call me Fatty McFarmer or something so I can move forward”. I told him how I was just really feeling down on myself and I was really disappointed in myself with where I was in my weight loss. I explained how I felt like my part time afternoon job was fulfilling, but I really wanted to be doing more and I had hoped at this time I would be at my weight loss goals and be working as a Weight Watchers Leader.

Here is what the genius said…….

“You should just treat your weight loss like a job. Make yourself go to the gym in the morning from 9-11 (he totally knows I like my morning coffee and Good Morning America) and have that be your morning job, then go to your afternoon job. Don’t allow yourself to make any excuses.”

He said it in the nicest way, and let me tell you, the guy could care less what I weigh. He constantly tells me how wonderful I am, how sexy I am, and how happy I make him. He said what he said because he knows it’s really what I want, and that reaching my goals will make ME happy. Sometimes he just makes so much stinking sense.

Maybe I AM changing…..

February 11, 2012

I guess I have surprised myself a little with a few of the choices I have made and how great it has made me feel! We stopped at the grocery store for a few items to have at the condo in Florida this weekend, and the boys left the shopping up to me! Of course they picked up a couple of bags of chips and some dip, but they also liked my choices of fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, pretzels, veggies and hummus! Oh, and they were fine with my Bud Light as well!

We hit the beach yesterday for a fun afternoon of bar hopping and a late lunch. I was sure to drink two glasses of water between each beer, only to remember how much easier potty breaks would be in a TWO PIECE! When it was time to order, I ordered a fresh veggie platter to share and an entree salad. I had a salad that night at dinner too, but desert was a Bailey’s and coffee! Okay, TWO!

Today started off with some Greek yogurt and a banana. It’s cloudy and high 50’s. Not what I was expecting, but I put on the coffee and I’m getting ready to curl up with a book, Unbroken, while the guys get in some golf.

I am hoping for a little warmer afternoon and a bicycle ride later! Need to work off that Bailey’s!

Mini vaca….

February 10, 2012

Flew into Tampa today for a long weekend with hubby and friends at their condo.

We are spending tomorrow at the beach! I am going to focus on good times with friends and relaxing and getting away, and not focus on my cellulite thighs, although I can’t promise this won’t be difficult, as they are really pasty white right now!!

Sweets anyone?

February 6, 2012

Here’s a yummy sweet treat. Simple.

These Popped Cinnamon Swirl Crisp are a WW product that you can only buy at their stores. I love these! There are several in this little bag and they have a great little crunch and LOTS of flavor. I was out running errands on a chilly, rainy day and my Starbucks Grande 2 Splenda Misto (half coffee, half steamed skim milk, with) made a perfect partner to go with my pop crisp. 2 PPV for my WW snack and 2 PPV for my Misto!
