Lots of Greens Today!

Lots of power foods today! Lots of pictures today! Lots to say today!
Let’s star with funny. My life can be comical at times. Probably not more comical than most other people, but I like to share, so sometimes I am looking for funny, so that I have something to share.
This morning I get a call and need to leave the house in a hurry. I throw on some yoga pants (for comfort, not yoga), my tennis shoes (because I WILL get in exercise today!) and a random t-shirt that I got for Free on St. Patrick’s day. I don’t even WEAR t-shirts! I don’t like the way I look in them. After taking care of business, I decide to run some errands while I’m out. The grocery store, Walmart, the bank and Starbucks for my Grande Nonfat Latte (nonfat milk is a Power Food). I come home for a couple of hours, and prepare to head back out. I decide to freshen up a bit. Brush my teeth, powder my nose, mess with my hair. I always check the back of my hair in the mirror. I don’t always like what I see, but I look anyway. It is then that I realize the large white letters on my bright green t-shirt. I forgot it even said anything on the back. I see the word DRUNK and feel myself panic a bit. Then I read it. Here is what the shirt says on the back, in large white letters, that I have worn all over town today.


“I DON’T GET DRUNK, I GET AWESOME”
Nice, huh? Can you imagine what the guy behind me at the Walmart or grocery store thought? Me? I am all friendly to the cashier at the store, ordering my nonfat latte at the coffee shop……L O S E R! Anyhow, that’s my funny for the day.
Breakfast today?
Leftover potatoes from last night.

I diced them up a little smaller, and weighed them!

I like these with my eggs for a little spice! One does it for me.

I diced it up too and tossed it in the skillet!

Added my egg whites (power food), sliced up an orange (power food) and breakfast fit for a drunk! Whatever……

At lunchtime, I just opened up the fridge and waited for something to call my name….with power foods in mind of course.
Here is what I came up with. Leftover flank steak, spinach (power food), 1 WW string cheese (diced), olive oil and balsamic vinegar.


My “something sweet” was a pear. POWER FOOD!

Now. While I was looking for lunch, I realized I had a lot of cheese. I clean my fridge out fairly regularly, so I decided to pull out the deli drawer and organize it a bit. After taking all the cheese out, I thought……well this is embarrassing.
Only TWO people live here.
So…..I like Laughing Cow Cheese. Creamy Swiss, Cinnamon Cream, Mozzarella Sun dried Tomato, Queso Fresco and Chipotle, and maybe a Strawberry Cream.

But here is the embarrassing part…..

And NONE of it is expired! Need to plan some cheese dishes!
Dinner was out tonight. Our son is getting married in July. We were getting together with he and his fiancé to discuss a few wedding items. We went to Bonefish. I ordered my usual. Salmon and asparagus salad (look at all those greens! Power Food)…..Dressing on the side. So good.

My IPad obviously needs a flash! Yes, I take my IPad everywhere I go.
Well, the exercise never happened and I had two glasses of wine at dinner. Can I make it up tomorrow so Friday isn’t SO terrible? I’ll try.
