This is huge.
I like short term goals. It’s easier to not fail with those. It’s much easier to think seven short days down the road than it is to think about NINETY (plus) LONG GRUELING days down the road. Agree? But, here’s the deal-e-o.
I would like to get done with the weight loss part of my journey and move on to maintenance. I’d like to go shopping knowing I can keep these clothes and not donate them in six months. I’d like to stop saying…..”When I get there….blah….blah…..blah….”
November 22nd is my 46th birthday. I really can’t think of a better gift to myself than achieving my goal by my birthday.
The thought of putting it all out there, and then failing, is super scary to me and nerve racking to say the least. But that’s exactly what I am doing.
I know it will be tough, and there will be challenges, but I also know, with each success, each challenge will become less difficult.
I have lost around forty pounds in about three years, so to say I am going to lose 15 to 20 pounds in three months is a big change in what I have been doing. But I feel up for the challenge. Without drinking, and doing more intense exercise, I believe this is a realistic goal for me.
I will be doing a lot of motivational reading over the next few months! I know there are a lot of people out there who have lost a lot more than that in less amount of time.
My weight loss has been slow, and I have been patient. I am now ready to wrap up the “Weight Loss Journey”, and move on to the next step of “Maintenance”. Eating healthy, exercising, and journaling will always be a part of my life. I’m good with that. I’m just ready for the next step.
Today was filled with good eats, a couple of dog walks, coffee with my mom, a haircut, good girly chat with my daughter, new tires for the car…..AND……some Best Body Bootcamp that kicked my butt! Today’s workout was an awesome 30 minute Progression Interval workout on the treadmill and four different Core exercises.
Tomorrow is Weigh In day!
I randomly found this yesterday, and found it interesting……
