Grandparent’s Day!

Sunday is Grandparents Day. Mike and I had the privilege of visiting our Grandsons Kindergarten classroom Friday afternoon to celebrate!

Malik is third from the left. The class sang us a song, we had cookies and Apple Juice, we answered questions about Malik to see how well we knew him, and we talked about what his mom was like when she was his age.

Then we all got on the floor and played games. It was fun to get to see him in his new classroom and see how proud he is to be old enough to be in school!

After school was out, we met his mom and we all went out for ice cream. I ate a half of a cookie at the school and passed on the juice and ice cream. 🙂

Well, my WW meeting went as expected. I had a significant gain from last week.

Current weight….

Last week I had a 6.8 pound loss, which is just crazy. In my three years of WW, that has never happened. I am going to assume it was water weight, or stress from Tess being in the hospital that week. Either way, I am a bit perturbed and a little behind in my three month plan. But…..I WILL FIGHT TO THE END!

Yesterday’s eats….

This is a new flavor, and I had two of them on the drive home from my WW meeting with a coffee. Super Yummy!

When I got home, I had a little something more filling!

Then I got started on an hour and a half of yard work. We spent a fortune on keeping the grass green this summer, so we are still mowing. But I do love to sit on the deck and enjoy it. 🙂

After the yard work, I had to get ready for Grandparents day, so I just had time for something quick!

After spending the afternoon with Malik, we headed home and decided to have dinner out and beat the Friday Night crowd. Wow. What an “Old People” comment! 🙂

We both decided Fajitas sounded good, so we went to a place we hadn’t been to in a while, and we’re pleasantly pleased with our big plate of fajita fillings and white corn tortillas!

Not a great picture though…..
I only ate a few bites of the rice, but enjoyed ALL of everything else!

We were home by 7:00 and curled up with the dogs on the couch for Movie
Night. We watched Act of Valor. It was really good. I am always amazed at the many servicemen in our country. It certainly takes a special someone to serve. God Bless them All!

Refresh…I can eat 26 points a day.
I can earn Activity Points by doing exercise.
I have an allowance of 49 points that I can dip into if I chose.
I should drink a minimum of 6 (8 oz) glasses of water each day.

The food I ate today and it’s PPV.

Breakfast = 4
Snack = 4
Lunch = 4
Dinner = 14

Total = 26

Activity Points Earned Today = 6
Remaining points from my 49 Points Allowance = 49
How many glasses of water I drank today = 12

Excited to spend some time with friends Saturday afternoon at an all day Music Festival! The weather is going to be PERFECT!

Have a great weekend!

  1. What a cutie pie to hang out with on Grandparent’s Day!! Enjoy your weekend and don’t let that gain get to you. You are doing great! Funny, after reading your post, I thought about how many weekends that we go out to eat early and are parked in front of the tv, snoozing by 9pm!!
