I went to the Orthopedic Surgeon on Tuesday for further evaluation of my shoulder. He would like me to get an MRI to take a better look at my Rotator Cuff. If there is a tear, then surgery, if no tear, then lots more physical therapy. Due to the time of year and insurance and deductibles and all that fun stuff, I now need to wait EVEN LONGER (after Jan. 1) to find out exactly what is going on, which means Bootcamp is even more prolonged. The Dr., who I really did like, actually told me I could go to Bootcamp if I wanted to, which I really do, and that I could not do more damage to my shoulder, I would just have to do something to manage the pain from using my shoulder. I am meeting with the owner of the Bootcamp on Thursday to get his opinion. I want the most out of Bootcamp, and I have no clue what to do.
Just frustrated and wanting to get back to a routine……

Later, before my appointment, I had some extra time, so I hit a McDonalds drive thru and grabbed a coffee and an oatmeal. I ordered the Oatmeal plain, and forgot to get any sweeteners. I had about four bites, but it didn’t taste to great, so I tossed the rest.
Lunch was a salad at a restaurant where a friend of mine is a bartender. After my appointment, I felt a little stressed and needed an ear. So I hit my local pub. 🙂
I ordered the grilled chicken salad with the best ever FF Balsamic Vinaigrette.
Goat cheese, olives, pine nuts, tomatoes, red onions…..

After a little Christmas shopping, a Vita Cake and hot tea.
Later, I had an apple.
Then I had some pistacios.
Then I had a WW Fudge Bar
I think all of the afternoon snacking was due to stress thinking about the possibility of surgery. Needless to say, when dinner rolled around, (I actually did cook) I just wasn’t hungry. We have a really high deductible, so if surgery is necessary, it’s gonna be a big chunk of cash. Happy New Year!

I didn’t get any exercise in, so that kinda sucks.
We leave for a beach vacation in 6 weeks. I decided this time when I joined WW (three years ago), that it was for my health, not for a vacation or a wedding or a special occasion. That’s still true, but since I am having such a hard time getting through the 160’s, I would be happy to go on vacation at 164, since that would be my lowest weight since joining WW. So I am trying to get there.
