Simple Post

I attended the funeral of my friends husband on Thursday. I felt consumed by the tragedy of it all. Myself and four other friends were able to meet at the visitation and go in together on Wednesday evening. It felt good to be there for our friend. Then myself and one other friend were able to go to the funeral. A funeral is never easy, but an unexpected death, at a young age (he was 47), and a father of a 12 year old son, and a step father to my friends two older children, seem to be even more difficult to accept. My friend comes from a very large family, and it did feel good to see her surrounded by her parents and all of her siblings and extended family.

All that I can do is pray for her and her family. It’s all so very hard to understand.

I fixed myself a small plate at the luncheon after the grave side service. There were drinks available, but I passed.

When I came home, all I wanted to do was eat some comfort food and sit on the deck with a glass of wine, but I made a low point grilled cheese sandwich with some carrots on the side instead, and drank a Diet Coke.

Still wanting some comfort food for dinner, we ordered take-out from Jose Peppers. I only ate half.

I am on my way to my meeting, but according to my scale at home, I might have stayed the same. I did NOT get my miles walked this week like I have been doing, and the other exercises didn’t happen like I had planned either. But I did NOT eat all of my points, so my results this week might be a little hard to understand?

I had an appointment scheduled to start working with a personal trainer, but I had to reschedule that for next week. I am anxious to get started working with him and see how my body will start to change, and get back to Bootcamp.

I can earn Activity Points by doing exercise, and eat them if I choose.
I have an allowance of 49 points that I can dip into if I chose.
I should drink a minimum of 6 (8 oz) glasses of water each day.

A Very Sad Day……

I received some really sad news yesterday morning. A friend of mine, that I have known since grade school, lost her husband this weekend. It was unexpected, and I haven’t been able to think of anything except for her and her children since I found out.

Throughout the day, I forgot to take most of my photos, and I did not exercise. The visitation was last night, and the funeral is today. I assume my mind will be mostly on her and her family throughout the rest of the week and into the weekend.

My blog will be short today, but I did seem to get the blogging kinks worked out!

I was emotional yesterday afternoon, and snacked too much. Then last night I came home and ate dinner at 10:00, and really wish I wouldn’t have. Today will be much of the same emotions, but I plan to focus on three meals, and only fruits or vegetables as snacks, and I will exercise this afternoon after the funeral. I need to be down one pound at tomorrow mornings weigh in.

iPhone Blogging…..

I am again blogging from my PHONE!!! And I thought of a whole bunch of important things I wanted to blog about yesterday, but I cant even begin to explain what a pain in the butt this is.

It will be easiest to write what I have to say, then put my pics in a different post, but I might try to post the pictures in this blog. I am learning this Iphone App as I go.

I am hoping things are resolved by the end of the week! Blogging has become such a part of my day. I have learned so much about myself, my habits, my trigger foods, what moods trigger me to eat, and most of all, through blogging, I am learning how to deal with all of it and growing. (But actually getting a little smaller.) 🙂

Yesterday was a great and busy day with lawn mowing and the one annual chore I truly depise. Hedge trimming. It takes forever and it is a LOT of work, but it is finally all done and the front yard looks normal again. I have NOT been in the flower mood this year, and I would imagine the snow in the first week of May had something to do with that. But I finally did get flowers in a few pots, and with the rain, I haven’t had to worry about maintenance on any of them yet. 🙂

I had my last Physical Therapy appointment yesterday, and tomorrow I start working with a personal trainer. I can’t remember if I blogged about that or not yet. My trainer is the owner of the Bootcamp I have been hoping to get back to. We are going to do 8 weekly sessions, and see if at the end of 8 weeks, I might be able to get back to the Bootcamp classes. I’ll keep you posted!

Blogging Problems

Something is wrong with my blogging app on my Ipad, and it doesn’t seem to be working properly on my phone either. I am actually doing today’s blog on my phone with my wireless keyboard!

I have a lot to blog about, but after spending a majority of yesterday trying to figure out this problem, then trying to figure out what I could and could NOT do on my phone, I found myself extremely frustrated.

So I will just sum this up with, yesterday was a successful day in food and excercise.

I met with my Bootcamp owner and we have agreed to personal training sessions for a couple of months and see if we can’t get my shoulder ready for Bootcamp classes.
