Eating More to Lose Weight?

When you’re in the Weight Loss Zone, you eat less, right? Last Friday, members of my Weight Watchers meeting suggested that I eat my activity points when I discussed my frustration of hard work and then a GAIN of 0.6 pounds! Since then , others have also suggested that I eat my activity points earned that day. The body is a funny thing. Eat MORE to lose Weight? Sounds great, right? Who doesn’t want to hear that it’s okay to eat more food when you’re actually trying to eat LESS??? But you certainly need to eat more of the right things.

Tuesday morning was filled with activity starting with a 6 mile walk with a friend at 6:30 in the morning! I really should walk that early every day! What a great feeling! Then we went to breakfast and enjoyed some good one on one girl time and getting caught up! Then I met with my trainer for over an hour! Then I came home and walked the dogs for a nice short 1 mile walk. Lots of activity and it all felt great!

While meeting with my trainer, Jamie, we discussed food, a lot! Jaimie had his own issues being overweight when he was younger, and has become very educated on weight loss and what to eat and what to not eat while losing weight. He discussed the importance of protein and healthy fats, so I am going to work on getting more protein into my daily meals and snacks.

Refresh…I can eat 26 points a day.
I can earn Activity Points by doing exercise, and eat them if I choose.
I have an allowance of 49 points that I can dip into if I chose.
I should drink a minimum of 6 (8 oz) glasses of water each day.

Lunch = Taco Salad…Romaine, Turkey Meat, 1/4 C. Black Beans, 1/4 C. light Cheese, 1/4 Avocado, 1 T. Light Sour Cream, Salsa, Tomatoes (11)
Snack = WW Smoothie with frozen Strawberries (2)
Snack = cherries (0)
Dinner = Bell Peppers, Carrots, Mahi Mahi Burger On Toast
with Cheese and Light Mayo (10)

Total = 33

Today’s Exercise ….

Walked 6 Miles
1 Hour Session With Trainer working Lower Body and Back
1 Mile Dog Walk

Activity Points Earned This Week = 23
Remaining points from my 49 Points Allowance = 21
ALCOHOL consumption = NONE

This cracks me up because Jamie is really into rolling around on this roller thing before the workout to get out any knots, and I DO NOT LIKE THE ROLLER THING!
