I had a plan. I was in control.

It felt really good to be in control yesterday. After going to an early morning WW meeting and feeling back in the game, I had a plan for the day to eat lean protein, drink lots of water, get in some exercise and keep myself busy! And that’s exactly what I did. I had a plan. I was in control.

I braved the Mall and Costco and a few other places and was successful at finding what I was looking for and successful at finding a few nice surprises. I kept busy enough and had lunch before I left, so snacking and sweets never even entered my mind. I had a plan. I was in control.

We had plans with some neighbors for an evening get together, so I ate a chicken breast (in the ugliest picture that I’ve ever taken of any food since I began this blog!!)  and a few un-pictured grapes. I wasn’t sure what types of snacks would be at the party, but I did plan to use some of my 49 Bonus points for the food that I ate, and that’s what I did. I had a plan. I was in control.

I took my own drinks to the party, which included Club Soda, Diet Sparkling Cranberry Juice and a lime. I even took a festive glass just so I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. I had a plan. I was in control.

Today we are going to the Dinner Theatre for a noon show. We were there a few months ago and I honestly don’t remember anything on the buffet that was point friendly. Maybe I wasn’t looking that day? I’ll eat some protein and drink water before we head out, then while there, I’ll pick the healthiest options that I can. I have a plan. I am in control.

I’m looking forward to the show, so hopefully I can focus on that! 🙂

I gotta get on the treadmill!

I have a plan. I am in control!

Have a great day!

The Quote below is one of my favorites that I have found while writing about my weight loss journey. I knew in 2009 when I joined WW for the final time that I would never quit. I had no idea how long it would take me to get to my goal weight, but it I knew it would be tough, sometimes tougher than other times. I knew I would lose, gain, lose, gain and lose. None of that has surprised me. I know myself too well.

What I didn’t expect is how much I would learn about myself. What I didn’t expect, is that losing weight and maintaining weight loss are equally as difficult, and this is a forever thing. When I first found this quote, the “Dream” was losing the weight and the “time that passed” was how long it would take for that to happen. This quote means something different now. The “Dream” is being healthy, and the “time that passes” is literally the rest of my life.
