The Weekend In Review….

Friday

It was a great day on Friday for a lot of reasons, but mostly because I got to pick up my daughter at the airport!  She moved to Dallas a year and a half ago with a great job opportunity at Southwest Airlines, and because she works there, we get FREE Flights! I can’t imagine her living that far away and her and I not getting to see each other as often as we do! I’m already excited to go Dallas next month for her birthday!!

We always stop somewhere on the way home from the airport, have a bite to eat, and get caught up. That’s exactly what we did!

Saturday

It was the Bowl for Kid’s Sake with Big Brother Big Sister on Saturday! I was so glad that Tess could come in town because she had not yet had the opportunity to meet my Little Sis, Samone!

It was great to take Samone to this event and have her meet some of my closest friends too! The event was a success and we all had a blast keeping track of Gutter Balls!!

Look! Pancakes, Sausage, Eggs and solo cup’s full of BEER!!

After bowling, most of our little bowling team went to lunch, then Tess and I spent the afternoon on the deck enjoying a little wine, a little goofiness and the awesome weather!

In the evening, some friends of ours came over and we played Cards Against Humanity! Have you played before?? I had not and that game is so inappropriate!! My stomach hurt all day Sunday from laughing so hard Saturday night!

Sunday

We slept in, (I mean like REALLY slept in….it was awesome!)  then went out for brunch. Tess decided to take the last flight home at around 10:00 pm, so it was nice to have her stick around for the whole day!

How Did I Eat?

Friday was an awesome day that included my ONE mile run and lots of fruits and veggies, and water, but I won’t bore you with every picture of everything I ate all weekend, although I do have the pictures….and even though I had already had dinner when I picked up Tess from the airport, I ordered the veggie plate that I like on their menu, and I shared the whipped cauliflower with Tess, and she was kind enough to throw her pickles on my plate!!

On Saturday morning, I headed out the door at 6:30 am for a ONE mile run and a one mile walk. Then I had egg whites and fruit at home, and skipped the Pancakes, Eggs, Sausage and beer that they fed us at the bowling alley. I did take a bite of Tess’ pancakes, and they were DELISH!!!

We went out for Mexican food for lunch after our morning bowling session and I ordered one chicken enchilada and had a few chips and guacamole and water.  Our dinner was whatever I could find in the fridge at our unexpected game night! I did a pretty good job of pulling out all of the veggies and humus, our neighbors grabbed a frozen pizza from their freezer and we found an awesome Trader Joe’s Arugula pizza in our freezer that I forgot that we had!  I also pulled out some popcorn and almonds and wine!! I snacked on the almonds and drank more than needed, so I am just going to say that I used up my extra 49 points for the week, and that it was worth it!

Sunday at brunch I ordered an egg white omelet, had lots of fruit, and did indulge in one Bloody Mary and shared a few sips of a beer with Tess.

We didn’t eat again until dinner, and that was the awesome Chicken Parmesan recipe that I love from Skinnytaste.com, served over zucchini noodles.

On Sunday, I did not get in my one mile run.

The rest of this week is filled with activity plans, so I’m not worried about it. Today I am running and mowing. Tuesday and Thursday I am going to Yoga along with running my ONE mile. On Wednesday I will run my mile and then hop on the bicycle!

I had an awesome weekend and I hope YOU all did too!
