Small Meals

On Monday, I ate only a banana for breakfast, and it was late when I had lunch, which left me with lots of points for snacks, or small meals,  throughout the rest of the day. At the end of the day, I still had 2 points left. At my WW meetings, I have heard other members talk about how they eat small meals (around 5 points) throughout the day. So yesterday, again, I ate small meals, and I ate often. After looking at what I ate, I only ate two fruits and the only veggie I got in yesterday was the tomatoes in my marinara sauce! Oops. I brought bread into the house for the BLT’s the other night, and it’s a total trigger food for me. I love the Trader Joe’s bread as toast, and it’s only 1 Point for one piece, but it will be a good thing when it’s gone! I craved TOAST all day long! I’ll shoot for less bread today, and a big salad for Dinner!

Breakfast

Plain Nonfat Greek Yogurt

1 Sweetener, 1 Gigantic Fresh Peach, Dash of Cinnamon

Black Coffee

2 PPV

I struggled to enjoy the plain nonfat greek yogurt for awhile. I’ve discovered that when I mix in ONE packet of sweetener, (I use Stevia) and about a cup of fresh fruit, I really like it. The protein in the yogurt helps keep me full and I really like the fresh fruit in it. The yogurt that you buy with the fruit mixed in it has a lot of added sugar, so this is a great way to cut down on your sugar intake if that’s a concern for you.

The fresh peaches in it just might be my favorite!

I forgot just how much I like this bread toasted! It’s a small slice, but it’s dense and nutty and I love it!

This Garlic Bread has been a great new find! I baked one loaf with dinner the other night, and the leftovers stayed nice and fresh in a baggie.  I read about this bread on another blog that I follow. Later I found it in the freezer in the health food area of the grocery store. Two Slices is 3 PPV. It’s nice and soft in the middle, lightly buttered, with a great crusty outside. Perfect for dipping in that Homemade Marinara!
