Super Successful Saturday!

It felt really good to wake up on a Saturday morning not feeling bloated and puffy from the alcohol and snack’s that I might have consumed Friday night.

I’m leaving Thursday night to go visit Tess in Dallas for her birthday, and I know that we will go out. I just need to make a plan this week to really minimize what I do so that I don’t come home from that trip feeling all blahhhhh…….then frustrated.

Saturday was a full day of yard work, lunch and a little afternoon shopping with my mom.

We had some unexpected things come up in the evening, so dinner was weird, and all I could really think about was……I could use a drink.

Then I thought…..what do people that don’t smoke and don’t drink, do when they get stressed out? I wasn’t in a place where I could take a walk, and nobody was answering the phone, so phone a friend wasn’t working for me either. And then I said to myself….maybe I should just deal with the issue at hand. So, that’s what i did. I didn’t have a drink or eat any food to deal with the stress, and I’m still alive. Weird, huh? 🙂

Here are the days eats……

Breakfast

I made my Blueberry Pancakes,

but I replaced the blueberries with a Banana and Strawberries!

1 tsp Maple Syrup

4 Egg Whites topped with Salsa

Frothy Coffee

5 PPV

Snack

Ice Cream…..well, kinda.

6 Frozen Strawberries, 2 Frozen Banana Chunks

1/2 C. Skim Milk, 4 Drops of SweetLeaf Vanilla, Blended

1 PPV

Of course, served in a frosty beer mug!!

I made this the day before too, but with 1 C of Strawberries and 1 whole frozen banana. I tried it yesterday with just the berries, and it just wasn’t creamy enough. I peel banana’s, then break them into 1″ chunks, and freeze them. Two chunks of frozen banana made this nice and creamy.

Lunch at First Watch

Quinoa Bowl with Chicken, Goat Cheese, Slivered Almonds

with the Dried Cherries and Balsamic Vinaigrette on the side

This shows as 21 PointsPlus according to the nutritional information online. I ordered the cherries and dressing on the side. I only ate three cherries and drizzled very little dressing. I’m guessing here. I’ve had it before and it really is good!

15 PPV

  1. Suzanne,

When I get out of the water habit, I start back at it by drinking 2 8oz glasses with breakfast, lunch and dinner. But when I’m in the zone, I’m carrying around that stupid plastic cup with the lid and straw with me everywhere I go!! 🙂

    Thanks for your comment!

  2. Thanks for the ideas! (I’m on WW and down 30 lbs, but have quite a ways to go.) Love the graphic about water! I’m struggling to drink the WW recommended water each day, so maybe I’ll put that as my phone background as a reminder. 🙂

    Take care,

    Suzanne
