If you read my blog regularly, you know that along with battling how to maintain a healthy weight, and party like a 20 year old on occasion, I usually have a random story. Today is no different.

Trying to get my dogs to poop in the rain is a real chore. Monday night, after a FULL day of rain and neither dog wanting to stay outside long enough to do their business, I put Tucker on a leash and literally walked in circles in the front yard while Mishka followed us. I was going around and around and around the tree, hoping to give each dog enough exercise to poop, and I was hoping the tree would shelter me a bit from the rain. After 10 minutes of walking in circles, and starting to feel dizzy, and now with really wet feet, I gave up and came inside. I closed the garage door, and closed the door from the house to the garage. As I let Tucker off of his leash, I see something flash before me in my house. It’s a CAT! WE DON’T HAVE A CAT!! I am highly allergic, and deathly afraid of cats! I am instantly freaking out and yelling Mike’s name. He has been in bed for awhile and isn’t answering me. The cat now heads up the stairs! I decide I’ll go up to the bedroom to get Mike, but I realize that I would have to walk past the cat to do so. Then I fear the cat will swipe at my leg with his ferocious claw’s, or worse, follow me to the bedroom and hide under our bed! So, I just stand on the stairs, yelling….”Mike! Mike! MIKE!! Wake Up! I need Help! Mike! Mike! MIKE!”

Nothing.

I decide to reach out with one hand and gently pick up the cat. I am freaked out, but saying….”hi kitty. hi kitty.” I walk down a few stairs when Mishka, my older dog, starts to quietly growl. Tucker begins to growl, but with a ? at the end of his growl. Now the cat hisses, so I drop it in an instant! I go to the back door and open it. Now the cat is about five feet from the back door, but up against the wall with both dogs in it’s face. I just know that one of them is going to draw blood any second. It’s awful!! “Mike! Mike! Mike! Help me! MIKE!! MIKE!!”

I’m shooing at the cat with a bar stool while the dogs are right at my feet and both making noises I’ve never heard either of them make before. It’s awful and my heart is racing. I’m SO not good in a panic. The cat runs out the back door, and I slam it shut! The dogs are now barking like crazy and running all over the house. I decide to go ahead and let them out in the backyard, where I swear, they both pooped immediately!  Stupid dogs.

Mike show’s up on the landing with panic on his face…..”What is going on?????” I said….”Um, sorry to wake you, but there was a cat in the house, and I was literally having a cat-tastrophy.”

Sometimes he thinks I’m funny. Sometimes, not so much.

He went back to bed.

Quinoa

I’ve been keeping cooked quinoa on hand lately and eating it a lot! Mike seems to like what I throw together, and I think my quinoa creations have been pretty good lately!

I’ll work on a post with several different variations of Quinoa Bowls and I’ll include the Points Plus Values.

Here’s what ‘s been going on with my food the last two days.

Today, plan, drink water, walk and no mindless or unplanned eating!

Tuesday’s Eats….

It was a crazy food day on Tuesday. I worked at the Food Truck, I ate breakfast too early, and we weren’t super busy at The Food Truck. That combo makes it hard to not want to eat everything in the Food Truck!!

Breakfast….

Then I ate this……

One Pork Taco, no tortilla

A Few Bites of Cowboy Skillet (Potatoes, Chicken, Sausage, Other Veggies)

1/2 C Mac and Cheese

Then, after packing up the truck, we went to an Ice Cream store!

I ate ONE Scoop of Pumpkin Ice Cream! It was heavenly.

I came home and entered everything into my WW Calculator. I had eaten 25 Points!

I decided to skip dinner, but then ended up having wine and cheese while watching the Royals win!
