Ouch.

One of my 2015 Goals was to set aside one day each month for Social Drinking. Before I go any further, I now realize that after going 5 weeks with no alcohol, I should have had some food in my stomach, and I should have paced myself. I had a fun day planned yesterday with a girlfriend that involved a few adult beverages. I’ll just be honest, cuz that’s how I roll. I got drunk and broke my collar bone.   Breakfast   5 Egg Whites, Blueberries and Grapefruit Black Coffee 2 PPV   Lunch Fireball and Beer   Weight Watcher’s Points Plus I can eat 26 PPV a day. I can earn Activity Points by doing exercise, and eat them if I choose. I have an allowance of 49 extra points that I can dip into throughout the week if I choose. I should drink a minimum of 6 […]

Ahhh….that Baby!

I babysat this little beauty yesterday…..   ……and I remembered….that I forgot…..how difficult it can be to take care of a baby, and take care of yourself at the same time. Basically, taking pictures of my food was not high on the priority list! Dressing up, feeding her lunch, snuggling and hugging were really the only things that had any priority at all! She will be ONE on tomorrow! I got in an awesome Jazzercise class and a picture of breakfast before little Charlotte Anne got to my house. I didn’t eat all of my points, but I just wasn’t very hungry at dinner? I did drink a lot of water. Here are yesterday’s eats……   Breakfast Trader Joe’s Bread, Toasted One Egg Chunky Monkey Cookies Frothy Coffee 6 PPV   Lunch Un-pictured  Chunky Monkey Cookies  Raw Almonds, Raisins, Carrots, Bell Peppers 10 PPV   Dinner Un-Pictured Butternut Squash Chili […]

Party Day!

I’m limited on time, so I’ll spare you all of the details of all of the thoughts of food and drink that I had in my head all day long yesterday! I was hosting a jewelry party, and I had healthy snacks planned, and I was stocked up on Beer and Wine. I started my day with a 30 minute Core Yoga class, followed by a 60 minute (standard) Yoga class, followed by a 75 minutes Stretch Yoga class. I drank lots of water throughout the day. If you read my blog regularly, then you know that I gave up alcohol for the month of January in an extra effort to get the scale going in the downward direction. It’s working for me.. At 6:00 pm yesterday, I could no longer stand the thought of the unopened bottles of wine on my counter top, so I opened a bottle. I […]

Snackin’ Day!

I don’t mind the Gluten Free Bread, I actually like it, but I was missing my Trader Joe’s bread for my morning toast! The Gluten Free Bread that I’ve been eating is 2 PointsPlus per slice, and my Trader Joe’s bread is only 1 PointsPlus per slice, so I went all out for breakfast and had two pieces of toast! Ahhh……the little things. Then I made up some yummy cookies made with Oatmeal, Bananas, Applesauce, Peanut Butter, Cocoa Powder and Vanilla. They were pretty tasty….kind of a Banana Cookie? I was making them so I would have a sweet option for myself at a Jewelry party that I am hosting tonight. I did NOT make them for my lunch yesterday. I ate 1 to taste, then I ate 1 more, then I ate 2 more, and then I ate 2 more, and then….uh huh, I ate 2 more. So I guess that […]

Happy Monday!

I’ve been craving Mexican Restaurant Chicken Fajita’s for a week or two now! I wanted chips, I wanted refried beans and cheese, I wanted tortilla’s and I wanted a cold beer! We had decided to meet some of my family for lunch yesterday afternoon and have a Mexican Feast! When it was time to order drinks…..I went with coffee and water. While the chips sat on the table…..I had none. When I ordered my Chicken Fajita’s, I asked for corn tortilla’s, no rice and black beans. For Super Bowl, we kept it simple and stayed home. Pre Party was a Banana and an Apple! Whoo Whoo!! That was a CrAZy final 3 minutes of a Super Bowl game though! Make it a great week! Here are yesterday’s eats….   Breakfast Frothy Coffee and Dried Apple Snacks 4 PPV They look like potpourri, but they taste delicious!    Snack 6 oz […]

January Challenge, Day 31

Well, I made it. I made a challenge for myself for the month of January, and at the end of my challenge, I am feeling very successful. My weigh in on Friday went really well, which set me up for a positive mood for the weekend, and for February. This ridiculously long blog post is really for me. I like to do a recap at the end of a challenge so I can remind myself of what I have learned and what I might continue to do. A few months down the road, I’ll likely come back and read this. This might bore a lot of you. Some of you may find something helpful? For the month of January, I took on the challenge to give up several foods.  Gluten Dairy Red Meat Soy  Corn Sugar Artificial Sweetness Alcohol I decided to give up these foods for the month for […]
