Laundry Room Update

Before the Laundry Room fun, Mike and I had a party to go to yesterday. Several of our friends have high school seniors this year, so there are lots of graduation parties on the calendar this month! Yesterday was a combined party of five graduates with friends and family. I thought it was a great idea to combine the parties and the venue, along with the food, was awesome!

Along with some great BBQ, beer and wine were offered. Mike and I went through the food line and before reaching the bar, Mike handed me a bottle of water? Whatever…….I’ll get a beer after we eat. Well, I can say that I had no alcoholic beverages yesterday. The graduates did a great job of mingling with the guest. It was great to see so many friends that we hadn’t seen in forever and Mike and I got so busy chatting, that I forgot to get a drink! 🙂

After the graduation party, we came home and worked as a team to complete my little laundry room project. We don’t usually do projects together too well. Let’s just say we each have our own way of doing things, and we both know we’re right.

After telling Mike that I was going to paint the laundry room, he immediately asked me if I was going to paint behind the washer and dryer? Why would one do this? No. I am not. Just like when I painted the laundry room that last time.

First of all, the washer sets in a tub, and in order to paint behind it, you have to lift it out and over the tub. That washer is heavy!

Second, who is going to see behind there? Um…..NO ONE!

To make a long story short. He moved the washer for me and after 16 years in this house, that turned out to be a really good idea. After cleaning and painting behind the washer, and putting it back in it’s place, I cleaned and painted behind the dryer as well.

Mike gloated all night long. We’re still married. I love the laundry room now.

Mike is so lucky. Whenever he does his laundry, he’ll be reminded about how much I love him!!

He can find his change and socks in a convenient space now, and there’s a small spot for a quick ironing job!
