5 Week Challenge…Day 5

Yesterday was Day 5 of my 5 Week Challenge to focus on Simply Filling Foods and Walk (a little running too) 125 Miles. I’m on schedule with my walking, and my legs were needing a break, so I took the day off yesterday.

When you are eating Weight Watchers Simply Filling, you can eat things that are not on the Simply Filling  Food List, you just count the points. Since I’m counting points anyhow, I just kept track and at the end of the day, I felt like I had done a good job of keeping my choices within moderation.

If you’re new to the blog, I like my adult beverages, and I had planned to really limit those in 2015. I’m not doing so great in that department.

My Sunday started off with coffee at a girlfriends house with a few friends, followed with going out for brunch! The Bloody Mary Bar was ridiculous, and I convinced myself I was drinking a glass full of Simply Filling foods! There were 7 of us, and everyone had a Bloody Mary. I didn’t want to miss out!! 🙂 Yes, that is a pork rind sticking up out of the drink behind mine.

A friend of mine ordered this Nutella Toasted Bread to share. We cut it into bite sized pieces so everyone could have a taste! It reminded me of a good old fashioned Long John! Dangerous and Delicious.

Mike and I spent the afternoon working in the yard, and since I took the day off of exercising, I still kept busy.

I decided to make something from my SkinnyTaste Cookbook for dinner last night, and I’m so glad that I did! I’ve been making things from her website for a long time, so when she came out with a cookbook, I was excited to get my hands on it! Well, not only was our dinner delicious, (no surprise there) but after I assembled this yummy stuffed chicken breast with zucchini and mozzarella, I posted a picture of it on Instagram along with the cookbook, and I tagged Skinnytaste in my picture!

She reposted my picture on her Instagram page!

She has 216 thousand followers! So I was excited to see that she had shared my post, then over the next hour and a half, I went from 624 followers to 982 on Instagram! Mike was watching an old John Wayne movie, and I just kept saying….Holy Crap! Holy Crap! I was a bit excited to say the least. Hopefully, some of those folks will come over to the blog and join me in my walking challenge!

Breakfast – 3 PPV

Banana with 1 T. melted Almond Butter, Black Coffee

Brunch – 12 PPV

Bloody Mary, One little sliver of this toasted bread with Nutella, Egg Whites on Pita with Avocado and Manchego Cheese. I didn’t eat it all. But it was tasty and I feel like 12 Points is accurate for my drink and the food that I had. Sometimes, you just have to guess.

Snack – 0 PPV

Apple and lots and lots of water.

Dinner – 10 PPV

This turned out really really good! One serving was two pieces of the chicken, but I wasn’t as hungry as I thought I was, so I only ate one of them. I put 1/4 C. of mashed potatoes on my plate, and ended up eating about half of that. Leftovers for tomorrow’s dinner!

Weight Watcher’s Points Plus

I can eat 26 PPV a day.

I can earn Activity Points by doing exercise, and eat them if I choose.

I have an allowance of 49 extra points that I can dip into throughout the week if I choose.

I should drink a minimum of 6 (8 oz) glasses of water each day.

My Weight Watcher Week Begins on Friday’s

 

Breakfast = 3

Brunch = 12

Snack = 0 

Dinner = 10

Total = 25

 

Exercise = Took the day off.

Activity Points Earned for the Day = 0

Activity Points Earned This Week = 12

Activity Points Remaining This Week = 12

How many ounces of water I drank for the day = 100

Remaining points from my 49 Points Allowance = 24

 

This is What I Will Accomplish in 2015

I will choose one occasion per month for Social Drinking (um…this is a work in progress)
I will go no more than two days in a row without exercise.
I will track every single day for the entire year. No matter what.
I will RUN in a minimum of six 5K’s. Two down, 4 to go!
