5 Week Challenge…Day 6

On the 1st of April, I got a cortisone shot in my left shoulder. I have rotator cuff tendonitis and a partial tear in the rotator cuff. (I had rotator cuff surgery on the right shoulder 2 1/2 years ago.)

The shot gave me relief for about 5 weeks, then its slowly been wearing off. My last Yoga class was super uncomfortable. Today I went in for shot number two! I’m taking a break from Yoga and Jazzercise (again), but should be good to go by Thursday or Friday!

Finger’s crossed for no more surgeries, but I’m not feeling very optimistic about that!

I did however get in a good 5 Mile walk!

I got a few more Instagram followers yesterday that got me to 1000!! I feel this ridiculous pressure now to make something that looks super kick ass in a picture, is low in points, and taste amazing!! I feel like a teenage girl that just got a bunch of “likes” on a selfie! What a dork.

Here are yesterday’s eats…..

Coffee – 1 PPV

Breakfast – 4 PPV

Sweet Potato Quinoa Burger on Toast with 1/8th of an Avocado.

Lunch – 12 PPV

This Miso Salmon topped with Pickled Cucumber slices, served over quinoa and veggies with a side of edamame at Houlihan’s was a delicious surprise!

Snack – 3 PPV

Banana with 1 T. Almond Butter. You can’t really take an appropriate picture of a banana. Maybe I’m just immature. Yep. Thats it.

Dinner – 6 PPV

Scrambled Egg Whites, 1/4 C Cooked Quinoa, 1/4 Black Beans, 2 Laughing Cow Cheese Wedges, Salsa, 1/4 Smashed Avocado with Lime Juice and Salt (my favorite way to eat avocado’s!)

Weight Watcher’s Points Plus

I can eat 26 PPV a day.

I can earn Activity Points by doing exercise, and eat them if I choose.

I have an allowance of 49 extra points that I can dip into throughout the week if I choose.

I should drink a minimum of 6 (8 oz) glasses of water each day.

My Weight Watcher Week Begins on Friday’s

 

Breakfast = 5

Lunch = 12

Snack = 3

Dinner = 6

Total = 26

 

Exercise = Walked 5 miles in 75 minutes

Activity Points Earned for the Day = 7

Activity Points Earned This Week = 19

Activity Points Remaining This Week = 19

How many ounces of water I drank for the day = 100+

Remaining points from my 49 Points Allowance = 24

 

This is What I Will Accomplish in 2015

I will choose one occasion per month for Social Drinking (um…this is a work in progress)
I will go no more than two days in a row without exercise.
I will track every single day for the entire year. No matter what.
I will RUN in a minimum of six 5K’s. Two down, four to go!

    Ha ha. Yes. Take it easy when your body tells you to do so!

  2. After 40 it’s patch, patch, patch and getting old is not for wimps.
    In real life you hit a detour sign you find another path.
    You did today and your body thanks you for it!!
    Now if I can only listen to my own advice–ugh–lol.
