Pretty and Clean

September 29, 2015

Yesterday in a nutshell.

I walked 3 miles. I registered for a 5K. Yippee! I finally made it over to visit a friend of mine who has a new baby. Adorable. I forgot how much Mike and I both love Quinoa. I’m addicted to these stupid sweat pants that I bought at Walmart a few weeks ago.

Yep, bought em in Dark Gray, Light Gray, Black and Light Gray Capri’s! The most important thing to me when deciding what to wear for the day? Being comfy. This is what you will find me in 90% of the time. Tank top and comfy pants. Seriously though, who would NOT want these Walmart gems??? Guys….they have pockets!

IMG_3176

Oh, and…my doggies were groomed yesterday and now they are pretty and clean.

Speaking of pretty and clean…..

We’ve been doing a few things around the house to clean it up since it is 16 years old. Hopefully the landscape project that was started last week will be finished by the end of today and the yard will look pretty and clean. So many of the shrubs were dying, we decided to have all of them removed and start over.

We have a painter coming today to make the baseboards and window sills and Mike’s office look all pretty and clean. It feels good to be getting things done and freshening up the house a bit.

My mom is coming over for coffee any minute. She’s always pretty and clean.

I have plans to go to dinner tonight with girlfriends. I probably won’t be able to leave the house today for an exercise class, so maybe Yoga on Demand?

Now if the dogs could just move in with my daughter and we could get all new carpet. Ahhhhh, pretty and clean.

Here are yesterday’s eats….

Pre-Breakfast – 3 PPV

Frothy Coffee made with Pumpkin Spice Coffee and sprinkled with Pumpkin Pie Spice, Un-pictured Almonds

Thank’s Ronda. Your suggestion of eating the apples on the pancakes was delicious!!

This is an awful picture! Dinner was odd. I made a Quinoa Skillet with leftover chicken, but there really wasn’t enough for Mike and I each to have dinner, so I gave him most of it, and I looked for something else to eat with my portion.

Dates and Dates

September 28, 2015

Happy Monday!

Look at the little coffee cup a friend of mine bought me over the weekend. Isn’t it the cutest? This morning I made myself a Pumpkin Spice Frothy Coffee and enjoyed it on the deck.

IMG_3117

I completely forgot to mention the fact that the birthday party that Mike and I went to on Saturday night had a special meaning for the two of us. On September 27th, 1996, Mike and I had our very first date at that same friends 30 birthday party! We had a great date night this Saturday celebrating our first date, 19 years ago. Time flies when you’re having fun!

Speaking of dates….

Do you eat dates? I just bought them in the bulk area of my grocery store. Thank you Ronda, for suggesting that I buy these. Ronda sent me THIS link to a video all about dates and I just watched it. Now I want to buy more.

I had them last night with some Cinnamon Hot Tea and they were a great sweet treat with my tea. I loved them!

I Googled “fresh dates” because I thought these were dried dates, but now that I’ve googled it, I’m even more confused. If you eat dates, I’d love to know if you count them as points when you eat them. I weighed them on my WW scale, and my scale says to count them as 3 PointsPlus. My WW App on my phone says that “fresh dates” are 0 points?

IMG_3099

This is the nutritional info on the bulk label at the grocery store. What are your thoughts?

IMG_3090

I did not get in a walk yesterday, or a Jazzercise class, or go to Yoga. Instead, I spent three hours on my hands and knees. We’ve been having a few things done around the house lately, and tomorrow, we are having Mike’s home office painted, along with all of the baseboards and window sills in the house. Guess what I did yesterday afternoon? I cleaned baseboards on my knees. Thank goodness I’ve saved my Volleyball knee pads! These work great for cleaning my floors too!

IMG_3082

I’m still struggling to come up with dinner ideas, so I looked at a few of the recipes that I have on the blog. I know my blog is simple, with few recipes, but it is my hope that they are easy to make, have few ingredients, and can be a good “go to meal” when in doubt on what to make for a meal. I totally forgot about my 10 Different Quinoa Bowl’s post, so I checked it out and came up with something simple and tasty for dinner last night. It’s not really pretty or fancy, but Mike said it tasted great and I thought that it did too.

IMG_3095

Okay, lots on the “to do list” today, so I gotta get busy. Have a great day!

Here are yesterday’s eats……

Breakfast – 2 PPV

Un-pictured Black Pumpkin Spice Coffee and Raw Almonds

Lunch – 10 PPV

Leftover Taco Meat, Sautéed Onions and Bell Peppers, Egg, Smashed Avocado. This was SO good!

IMG_3072

Snack – 2 PPV

Banana with 1 tsp Almond Butter, Chia Seeds and Honey Drizzle. This could probably be counted as 1 point, but I counted it as 2.

IMG_3076

Dinner – 9 PPV

I sautéed one Zucchini (you can’t see it in this bowl though?) one yellow Squash, and 1/2 Red Onion in Olive OIl. Then I added to the skillet 6 oz of Rotisserie Chicken. 1/2 C cooked Quinoa, 4 Laughing Cow Cheese Wedges and a little Chicken Broth because it needed a little more liquid. I divided that into 2 servings.

This picture makes it look dry, but it was actually really creamy with the cheese wedges.

Dinner was yummy! I promise.

IMG_3097

Snack – 3 PPV

Dates and Hot Tea

Weekend Fun!

September 27, 2015

So much going on and so much to say about the last two days.

After my WW meeting on Friday morning, Tess, my daughter, and I chatted about our WW meetings and the goals that we wanted to set for ourselves for the week. We talk about our meetings a lot, especially since we both go on Friday mornings, and we share what is working for us, and what we need to work on to improve. We decided to send each other our WW tracker at the end of each day this week to help keep each other accountable. We set goals for the week, for the month, and for the next 16 weeks.

Weight Watchers is encouraging us to set goals. They can be non scale related goals, or not. My one week goal is to not eat any of my activity points, but to allow myself to eat my 49 Extra Weekly Points. When I eat the 49, and when I eat my activity points, I maintain, which is what I have been doing for a long time. I’ve become very comfortable with my weight at 172, but 169 would really be nice to see. Three pounds doesn’t seem like much, and I have done a really good job on focusing on my health and how I feel, and not obsessing about the number on the scale, but we all know as WW members, or anyone losing weight and living a healthier lifestyle, it is exciting and rewarding to see that number go down.

My one month goal is to exercise 5 times per week. My 16 week goal is to see 160 something on the scale.

I ran lots of errands Friday afternoon, and did a little clothes shopping. This is one of my favorite purchases. Light, Fallish, covers my butt. I’m wearing it with a Pink Tank top and white jeans, but I can’t wait to wear this with jeans and boots and a long sleeve T-shirt under it.

IMG_2990

I bought another shirt that is super similar, but I loved them both so much. This is so soft, I think I want to sleep in it.

IMG_2996

I’m not a fan of the shape of my legs, but I bought this shirt dress anyhow, along with these leggings, (I love anything denim) and hopefully I will be brave enough to wear it out of the house? I’m thinking new boots!

IMG_2997

I do love a long vest….butt coverage, people.

IMG_3026

After shopping, I went to a friends house for more shopping at her Bi-Annual Candle and Jewelry party. I bought a few Fall Candles, drank wine, ate snacks, chatted with friends, and bought this cute necklace!

IMG_3030

I came home around 6:30 and Mike and I had a quiet Friday night at home watching a little baseball, and the movie “Lucy”. Weird, interesting, and more weird. It was only an hour and a half long, so if you’re looking for weird, but interesting, I’d recommend it.

Saturday, I met my mom and niece for brunch at IHop. I looked at my WW app and picked out what I would be ordering before I got there.

After brunch, a few more errands, then a little down time in the hammock with Tucker.

IMG_3010

After a little down time, a 7 mile walk with a friend. That felt great!

IMG_3013

We even decided to battle this hill, going and coming, and it really wasn’t all that bad.

IMG_3012

While on our walk, we may have peeked in the back window of a vacant house that was for sale. After I watched Becky climb over this railing, I did it too, but…..uh,  I have really short legs and the climb over went a little differently for me. OUCH!

IMG_3015

Then, date night with this guy.

IMG_3036

We went to dinner and shared a Shrimp Taco plate that was delicious, then we met a few friends at a bar, then we all followed each other to a little place called Missie B’s. We had all bought tickets to the “Black Bewitched”, to be performed by the Drag Queens at Missie B’s. I really had no idea what to expect, but I had a blast, laughed my butt off and the show was AWESOME!!

I present to you….Samantha, and her mother, Endora. Seriously…..HILARIOUS.

IMG_3040

Uncle Arthur, Samantha and Aunt Clara. They all did such an awesome job and the show was really out there, but I could have watched and laughed at Aunt Clara for HOURS!!! My cheeks hurt when we left from laughing so hard.

IMG_3037

After the show, we made a late stop at a surprise birthday party for a friend of mine from High School. It was a late night, and today is busy and full, but hopefully, early to bed tonight.

I’ve had my party fun for the weekend, and I ate and drank almost all of my 49 points. I know. What’s new, Julie? Anyhow, I’m ready for the week. I’m looking forward to exchanging my daily tracker with my kiddo. I’ll get in some Jazzercise and Yoga this week and drink plenty of water.

I hope you all have a Healthy week planned, and that you have a Happy week!

Here are the eats for the last two days.

Friday

Breakfast – 2 PPV

Un-pictured Nonfat Latte

Lunch – 8 PPV

Salad Bar after my WW meeting. Lots of veggies, Chicken, a couple of Tablespoons of Taco Meat, Guac, Salsa and Kidney Beans

IMG_2985

Party Snacks – 29 PPV

Un-Pictured White Wine

I ate a few of the pretzels and crackers with the dip, then I ate a few grapes and started eating the veggies with the dips. This is one of those things where you take a few bites, guess at the points, then add a couple of cushion points, drink lots of water, and move on. That pie plate is basically a Rueben Sandwich in a Dip!!! Yummo!

IMG_2992

When I took this picture, I was super proud of myself for not having any of it. I love Candy Corn and peanuts. Then I ended up eating some of it! Not too much though. I LOVE Peanut M&M’s, but these were just plain old M&M’s, so no worries there. 🙂

Un-Picture Taco meat on a tortilla at home.

Love my KC Royals!

September 25, 2015

Last night, the KC Royals won the American League Central Division, and it’s kind of a big deal. Last October was crazy fun in Kansas City with baseball fever everywhere, and here we go again! I’m looking forward to an October full of Royals baseball and Chiefs football and lots of energy in Kansas City!

Yesterday was a busy and full day. Lot’s done at home before heading out to work at the Food Truck. We had a fun day with the food truck at the American Royal Youth Rodeo! I’ve sucked a good friend of mine into the Food Truck fun. That’s Renee on the left. We met almost 30 years ago.I think she enjoys this just as much as I do!

IMG_2953

We made a new sandwich yesterday that we haven’t had on the truck before. I was in charge of actually making them, and after handing several out the window, we all decided I should make one of them for us to taste!

IMG_2958

It was your basic BLT, but these Heirloom Tomatoes were crazy juicy, and the bacon wan nice and thick and it looked so yummy, and it was on a buttered sourdough bread toasted on the panini grill you guys!! I did pick out the ends of the bread, so it was a small sandwich, perfect for us to share as a sample.

I said I wouldn’t eat any Food Truck food yesterday, but I’d say…..not too bad considering all the temptations. I did take my fruit and yogurt and I did eat it too.

I really wanted to grocery shop on the way home from working, and I really wanted to go to Hot Yoga last night. When I got home from the grocery store, I realized it was the only day I could mow for the next few days, and it would be dark soon, so I mowed instead of going to Yoga.

I drank lots of water yesterday, and now I’m just happy it’s Friday.

Here are yesterday’s eats……

Breakfast – 5 PPV

Egg Whites Scrambled, 1 Laughing Cow Cheese Wedge stirred in, 1/4 C Turkey Sausage added, folded into a Whole Wheat Carb Balance Tortilla, and then placed in a hot skillet with a little cooing spray. Topped with 30 g Smashed Avocado and Salsa, Raspberries and Black Coffee.

IMG_2948

Lunch – 3 PPV

1 C. Greek Nonfat Plain Yogurt with Vanilla Stevia, Cinnamon, Strawberries

IMG_2956

More Lunch – 4 PPV

Four bites of BLT

IMG_2961

Snack – 5 PPV

Leftover bites of Sushi from Wednesday

IMG_2964

Snack – 4 PPV

A few bites of this Salad that I brought home from the Food Truck

What’s For Dinner?

September 24, 2015

I love to cook. I love being in the kitchen and coming up with something tasty to eat that is low in points. I love playing with different foods. Lately….I can not think of anything that sounds good to make for dinner.

I was out of town all weekend and I knew that I was coming home on Sunday to an empty fridge, because that’s how I left it. Empty. I ran to the store and bought only stuff to make dinner that night. Monday, we never did eat dinner, which is really odd for us. Tuesday, breakfast food for dinner, because still, no grocery shopping and I almost always have eggs. Last night, a quick trip to the grocery store, having no idea what I was going to buy when I got there. I’m hungry, but nothing sounds good. I’m in a rut for sure as what to have for dinner.

I made sure to buy something last night at the store to take for lunch today while I’m working at the Food Truck. I am determined to only eat what I take today. For some reason, this has become much more of a challenge for me than it has been in the past. I am working more days per week than I have in the past, so it’s been a challenge, but I never used to even think about eating the mac and cheese or opening a bag of the chips, and now it’s just all tempting me like crazy!!

Yesterday, in between customers towards the end of the work day,  I grabbed a bag of chips and opened them up and started eating! They are 8 points for the bag. I ate them all, with some chicken salad. It tasted so flipping good!! The salty chips made a Diet Coke sound amazing, so I went there too! I hardly ever drink that stuff anymore, but all of a sudden that’s more tempting too!

It’s one of those week’s that I’m looking forward to my Friday meeting, so I can have my fresh start.

I weighed this morning, and I still weigh 172, even after the weekend of wine and crab claws dipped in butter.

I’ve walked everyday this week except for Sunday, and that’s a really good thing. Last night was a 5 mile walk, and that felt great to get in. I’m going to my Hot Yoga class tonight, and I’m looking forward to a good sweaty workout.

I’m out the door to be tempted by the crazy goodness of Food Truck Food!

I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED BY FOOD TRUCK FOOD TODAY!!!

🙂

Seriously though, what’s for dinner?

Here are the eats for the last two days……

Tuesday

Breakfast – 5 PPV

Breakfast Burrito’s, Salsa and Fruit.

Two Whole Wheat Carb Balance Tortilla’s filled with Scrambled Egg Whites and one Laughing Cow Cheese Wedge stirred into the cooked egg whites. I divide the eggs into the two tortilla’s, wrap them up and put them in a skillet with cooking spray to get them crispy on each side.

These would also be great with a crumbled slice of bacon or a little turkey breakfast sausage added to the egg whites.

IMG_0113

Lunch – 8 PPV

Un-pictured Raw Unsalted Mixed Nuts while prepping food for the the food truck at the bosses house. I totally should have packed a lunch that day, but I was glad she had the nuts!

Snack – 3 PPV?

I snacked on this before dinner without measuring it out…..right outta the bag. BIG Weight Watcher No No!

IMG_0109

Dinner – 8 PPV

Smashed Sweet Potato, 2 Eggs, 1/8th Avocado

IMG_0112

Breakfast = 5

Lunch = 8

Wednesday

Breakfast – 6 PPV

IMG_0111

Lunch – 13 PPV

Terrible choice. One Bag of Chips and a Scoop of Chicken Salad. I ate breakfast too early, let myself get too hungry and did not pack my lunch while working at the Food Truck….again!!! No MORE I say. No MORE! (so dramatic)

IMG_0110

Dinner – 14 PPV

Grocery Store Salad Bar and Grocery Store Sushi Rolls, weirdest dinner in a long time.

I’m ending my blog today with a Facebook post from a friend of mine from High School. I love his Facebook Page. He is either posting a one liner joke, or something motivational. I hadn’t seen him in years, and it was so great to see him and give him a big hug at my 30th  Class Reunion this summer.

Life…

September 22, 2015

I’m that 80/20 person. Heck, maybe I’m that 70/30 person. I’m eating healthy and exercising……most of the time. I have not been at my goal weight of 160 for about a year and half, but have maintained a weight of 172. I have given up gluten, dairy, sugar, alcohol and even corn to get weight off at times. Right now, I’m not eliminating anything, I’m just making healthy choices…..most of the time.

The last three days have literally been all over the place. Life. Right? I wanted to track every day this year, I have not. I have guessed on a lot of foods the last three days. I have not exercised hard (I did walk 2 of the last 3 days), I have not given the best effort to get all of my water in, and I really don’t know how many points I’ve eaten these last three days.

Life.

I had plans to go to Hot Yoga on Thursday night and Monday. Thursday night I spent at the airport so I could go to Dallas, and yesterday, I unexpectedly babysat my sick granddaughter.

I wanna be the WW Genius on most days, and other days……I just wanna be healthy.

Here’s my life…..for the last three days.

Saturday in Dallas, Tess and I slept in until 10:30 and it was heaven. I really didn’t think that I was capable of that, but I guess I was. I loved it.

My daughter has been super crazy busy, as most 24 year olds are, and I was telling her how she just needed to take a weekend to chill. That was the reason for my visit, chilling her out a bit. That’s exactly what we did too.

After a long walk on Friday, a relaxing lunch, making pizzas at home for dinner and staying up late to watch the Royals in extra innings, we slept in on Saturday. We then had coffee, lots of coffee, made brunch at home, played on Pinterest, and at 3:00 pm, we decided to get dressed and take a walk.

Our Brunch was yummy! Egg White and Veggie Omelets with Laughing Cow Cheese inside, topped with smashed Avocado, Bacon, Potatoes and Fruit. Brunch was 9 Points.

IMG_2824

We walked 2 miles to a strip mall of restaurants and stores. It was a perfect day for a walk.

IMG_2832

We window shopped, then stopped for gelato, where we shared a half of a cup of Sea Sat Caramel Gelato. While there, we looked up the WW points and debated whether a half of a cup was 8 PointsPlus or 7 PointsPlus.  We agreed to disagree. Who knows really how much Gelato was in this cup??

IMG_2831

After Gelato, we had a great 2 mile walk back to her apartment through a neighborhood where there are several “tear down, rebuilds” that were SO stinking cute!

IMG_2839 IMG_2840

We left her apartment at 3:30 pm and got back at 6:00 pm. it was a great Saturday afternoon of feeling relaxed, but also getting in a little activity.

We had a late dinner out, just the two of us, at one of our favorite spots…..Fireside. Crab Claws, Bruschetta, Bibb Salad and Wine. If you ever eat at Fireside, please order the Bibb Salad…. Bacon, Tomatoes, Goat Cheese, Hearts of Palm…..so darned good! We order it every time that we go.

Crab Claws were the “Special”, and neither of us had ever ordered them before. Hello butter! These were divine.

IMG_2846

Sunday, I was on the 7:30 am flight home. I was eating Oatmeal at Starbucks just before 7:00 am.

I ran errands before I came home from the airport, then I made myself some lunch. Scrambled Egg Whites with a Laughing Cow Cheese Wedge stirred into it, on top of Smashed Avocado, on top of a Toasted Light English Muffin and berries.

I went to a baby shower that afternoon where I had two glasses of punch and some pink popcorn (its a girl). Dinner was a Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Salad and Grilled Asparagus at home.

Monday, I babysat our granddaughter, Charlotte. She was sick, and while adorable, she was a bit cranky and my food plan for the day and my exercise plan for the day was the last thing on my mind. I had Pumpkin Oatmeal and a Frothy Coffee before she got to the house.

The rest of the day, I snacked on popcorn, almonds, banana’s, and I really don’t know what else. Mike worked late and called to say that he’d had a late lunch and wouldn’t want dinner. I skipped dinner too. I did however take a 2 mile walk with a friend while pushing Charlotte in the stroller.

Right after I took this picture, she said “I pooped. Clean me up.” I love her so much.

Dallas Visit

September 19, 2015

My daughter and I had chatted about me coming to visit her in Dallas this weekend. The trip was a bit up in the air, and then it all came together, so I’m here! Thursday morning left no time for blogging. Now I’ll try for a short one. I’m in bed with Tess right now drinking coffee and playing on our computers looking at recipes on Pinterest, outfits on Pinterest, trying to book a massage today, and enjoying good girly chat too.

I was at the airport by 6:30 pm on Thursday for a 7:30 flight, then I got bumped to the 9:30 flight, that actually took off at 11:30, which landed me in Dallas at 1:07 am. It was a lovely evening at the airport watching the Chiefs lose.

Friday we slept in and it was so nice to have nothing we had to do. After coffee and a lot of nothing, we walked to the grocery store up the street for breakfast and a coffee outside.

After that, we took a 4 mile walk on the Katy Trail with Manuel, Tess’ boyfriend.

Slackers……

Then…lunch stop at the Katy Trail Ice House. I love this place. All sorts of people there, some in work clothes, some in work out clothes, lots of dogs and a great view of the trail. Cold Beer too.

IMG_2809

After a long afternoon of chatting outside, we headed home for a quiet night.

We made pizza’s and salad at home, and watched the Royals lose in extra innings. It’s been a disappointing sports weekend.

Today? We don’t feel like doing anything, and it’s kinda nice.

Here are yesterday’s eats…..

Fruit and Yogurt and a Tall Nonfat Latte outside at the grocery store.

“love the life you live, live the life you love”

Slept like a baby last night, making up for the crappy night’s sleep the night before, but slept too long. Heading out the door in just a few minutes, so short and sweet today.

Yesterday I worked at the food truck, then I walked 4 miles because it was gorgeous outside, then I did laundry, then I mowed the yard because it was gorgeous outside. Showered and in bed by 9:00 pm. That about sums up my day!

I did pack greek yogurt and fruit to take to the food truck, and I ate it, but there was another food truck at our event too, and at the end of the day, we shared food with each other. They brought over two taco’s for each of us. I picked at one of the taco’s and called it 6 PointsPlus.

Here are yesterday’s eats…..

Breakfast – 6 PPV

Pumpkin Pancake’s topped with 2 T. Pumpkin Butter, Apple, Frothy Coffee. I was so excited to eat some Pumpkin Butter!

IMG_2761

Lunch – 9 PPV

1 C. Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt with Cinnamon Stevia Drops, Cinnamon, Peaches and Blackberries – 3 PPV

Dinner – 12 PPV

“love the life you live, live the life you love”

First let me start with, I was busy yesterday, and I was having fun yesterday, so I was a bit distracted and forgot to take pictures of a lot of my food throughout the day. I tracked my food last night and I think it’s pretty accurate.

I love starting off these cool mornings with a coffee on the deck while listening to my dogs bark at all the squirrels and the bunnies and other dogs. So peaceful. That was my first cup of coffee yesterday.

Then I picked up a girlfriend and we took a trip to the Louisburg Cider Mill. Every Fall, I like to go there and look at all of the varieties of Apple Butter, Peach Butter, Cider, Soup Mixes, Knick Knacks, and my favorite of everything there…this Pumpkin Butter.

IMG_2743

After shopping and picking out a few things along with my Pumpkin Butter, we sat outside and had another coffee and shared one of their famous cider donuts. I am so ready for Fall weather.

I spent the rest of the day trying to finish cleaning my house. I’m hoping by the end of the week, to be done scouring. Apparently, I need to schedule a carpet cleaning because I had a dream that my carpet turned into a dirt floor! Do you ever feel like you just can’t get the whole house clean before it’s time to clean it again?

I ended my day with a Jazzercise class and dinner with a friend, while sipping coffee outside. It was a great day!

I hope that your day was great too!

I’m working the food truck today, tomorrow and Thursday, so I’m packing a lunch everyday. Hopefully I remember to take it with me when I walk out the door!

Here are yesterday’s eats…..

Breakfast – 6 PPV

Frothy Coffee and Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal

IMG_2741

Snack – 2 PPV

Un-Pictured 1/2 Cider Donut, Black Coffee. They are pretty tiny donuts, with no icing.

Lunch – 4 PPV

Lots of Veggies, Chicken, Kidney Beans and Salsa

IMG_2744

Snack – 4 PPV

Un-Pictured Walnuts and Raisins, and a few bites of White Chili. I was making dinner for Mike, and I was playing with a recipe.

Dinner – 10 PPV

I was so hungry, I forgot to take a picture! I met a girlfriend of mine at Jazzercise and then we went out for dinner. My daughter was a bridesmaid in her daughters wedding a couple of weeks ago, and we had lots to catch up on, so taking a picture was the last thing on my mind.

I ate some yummy Chicken Skewers with Bell Peppers, Onions and Zucchini. (8 PPV) I ordered a Bud Light bottle, drank half of it (2 PPV) then wished I hadn’t ordered it and ordered coffee. I drank a ton of water and way too much coffee yesterday. We were sitting outside and it was cool out, and the coffee tasted so good! It also seems to be my “drink” when I’m not drinking.

All in all, a pretty successful day.

“love the life you live, live the life you love”

I Slept and I Vacuumed

September 14, 2015

Getting out of bed at 10:00 am, then hanging out on the couch (and napping) until after the Chiefs game ended after 3:00 pm, probably wasn’t the best use of a gorgeous sunny day, but that’s what happened.

After the game, I took a short nap with Tucker outside in the hammock. Super short.

Then, Mike and I replaced our oven. Okay, Mike replaced our oven, I assisted. I haven’t been able to bake anything over 350 degrees for a few weeks now. The new oven has been sitting in the garage, and it just didn’t sound like a fun job, so we were avoiding it. I was worried about scratching up the new floors too! The new oven is now in, and no scratches!

He’s just so darned handy!

IMG_2721

After that, I vacuumed. The kind of vacuuming that involved pulling out all of the attachments, moving furniture, vacuuming window seals and vacuuming the ceiling corners. I vacuumed every room in the house and washed all of the area rugs. It was my intent to spend the entire day cleaning the whole house. I vacuumed.

We ordered dinner out and Mike was going to pick it up while I finished vacuuming the ceiling. I called in the order and ordered Shrimp Fajita’s with Corn Tortilla’s, no beans, no rice, extra Fajita veggies. What I got was…. Shrimp, 3 strips of bell peppers, lots of onions, Flour tortilla’s and a container with what I assumed was my extra veggies. When I opened it, I discovered steamed broccoli, onions and zucchini??? None of it tasted very good, so I ended up eating a little of it and a few chips and salsa.

I showered at 8:00 pm and went to bed to watch the Royals lose.

Today is busy and full with a few fun things planned.

I hope you have a great day planned for yourself and that it is a Healthy and Happy one!

Here are yesterday’s eats…..

Breakfast – 5 PPV

Toasted Cinnamon Raisin English Muffin, 1 tsp Butter, Banana

IMG_2706

IMG_2710
