Basically, Shopping and Packing

I have spent way more time in the last three days pondering what to pack to take to NYC than I’d like to admit. I’ve packed, I’ve unpacked. I’ve bought clothes and shoes, and I’ve returned clothes and shoes. I finally think I’m ready!

I made it to Yoga on Saturday and Sunday and today I did yard work. I’ve had lots of water to drink over the last two days along with a little wine and a beer. I’ve made good food choices, but I haven’t been tracking or counting any points.

These next few days I plan to just enjoy myself and splurge a little, with a few good choices thrown in there too. Maybe Mike and I try that “share a meal” thing?? It sounds like we will be getting in a lot of walking! Drinking my usual water might be tough during the day….you know….with it going right through me and all, then finding a potty in a moments notice, but I’ll do my best to get in what I can.

I’ve met a new neighbor recently, and she has a son that lives in New York. While on our walk Friday (oh, and Friday, I walked 3 miles) I was telling her about our upcoming trip and how I was anxious to sight see, but also wanted to find some great places that the locals like to go to. Well, she offered up her sons name and number and said that he would gladly give me some advice. I took her up on her offer and I am so glad that I did! He was so sweet and sent me all sorts of info!

I am so looking forward to this trip!

Saturday

Breakfast

Soft Boiled Eggs over a bed of Sweet Potato Hash with a few Avocado slices

Lunch

Leftover Fish….I heated this up, ate it too fast, then ran out the door to shop!

Dinner

Turkey Spaghetti over Zoodles, topped with Nutritional Yeast and a nice Cabernet. Ahhhh……happy Sunday night.

Breakfast

A Larabar and Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin Spice flavored Coffee. I love this coffee. Have you tried it???

Lunch

Turkey Spaghetti mixed with Zoodles and topped with Nutritional Yeast. It always taste better the next day!

Dinner

I was pooped from packing and unpacking and packing. Ha! So we went out to dinner.

I ordered Shrimp Fajita’s with No Beans, No Rice, extra Peppers and Onions and a Beer. Would you just look at that pile of shrimp and veggies??

  1. Oh my gosh, the pizza was awesome, the city was awesome and the whole trip was perfect!

  2. I keep saying you send out good vibes you get them back.
    Sounds that way about the new neighbour you met.
    If I go to New York I want pizza, bakery items, and seeing some old neighborhoods of New York. I think I would like to go to that soup place that was on TV. Oh I want to go to Mario’s store and restaurant and bring back something’s for my pantry.
