More Cleaning

We are cleaning up the diet after the holidays and cleaning up the house!

I like to give the house a good deep cleaning after taking all of the decorations down from the holidays. I get bored looking at the same stuff, so I also like to rearranging things a bit. Yesterday I called in some help.

I love that she moved things around to places that I would not have thought of to put them, but now it is very apparent to me that I have some dated (um, and kinda dusty) things sitting around the house.

I’ve painted every bathroom and bedroom in this house several times in the 17 years that we have lived here, but we have never changed the color of the living room and the entry has been the same color for years. I haven’t really bought new decor for either of these areas in a very long time. I remember when Mike painted the entry. He did this great faux finish and had to build a scaffolding to complete the job. I was a little freaked out watching him climb and paint and I was eager for him to finish without any injuries. When he was finished, I was really happy with how it turned out, and he said that he was glad because it would be at least another 10 years before he did that again.

Well, I think it’s been 12. lol

I’m ready for some deep cleaning and I am ready for some new wall colors and new accessories to decorate with!

I took this mirror down shortly after I took this picture yesterday. I’ve never liked it up there anyhow.

I need something new for above the fireplace, but In the meantime, this will work. After my friend left, I added a few more things to the shelves!! What is that about me? I just like stuff! Makes me feel cozy I guess.

After finding a home in the basement for future garage sale items (all of the stuff that didn’t find a different shelf to sit it on), I headed to my exercise room at home where I did Yoga and discovered the OA on Netflix. Here I go with another late night round of binge watching. I really liked The Crown!

Here are yesterday’s eats…

Breakfast – 7 SP

This may never get old for me.

Veggies and White Sweet Potato topped with an Egg and a Pear with Cinnamon.

Lunch – 8 SP

5 ounces of cod is 1 SmartPoint, which is what I thought i was eating. Then I remembered that I had bought Sea Bass which is 2 SmartPoints for 5 ounces. Who knew?? Obviously I don’t know my fishes very well, but I’m going to try to eat more of it.

I put it in the skillet with a tsp of Grapeseed Oil and Sea Salt and Pepper. Loved it! White Sweet Potatoes (50g) and crunchy Veggies on the side and Celery and 2 tsp Almond Butter for dessert.

Dinner – 20 SP

I had several points left and I was hungry, so I ate a lot of chicken salad and guessed on the points.

Chicken Salad made with Paleo Mayo, Dried Cranberries sweetened with Apple Juice, sliced almonds and celery. Love this on a bed of greens and a side of plantains.

Daily SmartPoints Total = 35
