My house was really needing some TLC this week and I was beginning to think it wasn’t going to get any. I consider myself to be a tidy person, so things are pretty much in order. The kitchen and bathrooms are kept clean, but when it comes to vacuuming and dusting and mopping, those things seem to fall to the bottom of the list.

Yesterday….

  • Vacuum entire house
  • Mop all floors
  • Dust
  • Balance Check Book
  • Pay Bills
  • Gather Tax Information
  • Unpack boxes delivered for my At Work and organize

I knew that it might rain and that I should walk my miles early in the day or jump on the treadmill. At some point in the middle of afternoon while knee deep in my “to do’s”, I made the decision to continue to attack my list and skip the walk. It will put me even further behind on my challenge, but the idea behind the challenge is to keep me active, not to stress me out! lol

I never stopped moving yesterday so it’s not like I spent the day on the couch and did nothing, although right now that sounds like a great idea!

I really need to look into buying a fitness tracker. I would love to know how many steps I got in just getting the house clean and all the trips that I took going  in and out of the garage organizing my WW supplies.

Coffee with pop’s this morning.

Here are yesterday’s eats…

  1. I agree! Housework can earn some serious Fitpoints!

You should try the waffles. Easy and delicious!!

  2. Housework is probably the best weight loss exercise you can do! If you are on your feet all day cleaning and scrubbing you will definitely lose some weight, and the bonus is you have a nice clean house! Those waffles look amazing…..

  3. Ugh. I really can’t decide, but I think I’m leaning more towards buying one.

I think even though they might not be 100% accurate, I’ll have something to shoot for.

  4. Spending the money and the disgusted part is likely what is keeping me from buying one! lol

I need to just bite the bullet and buy myself a tracker!!

  5. Sorry I don’t want to rain on the parade but those things are truly inaccurate.
When you swing your arm a certain way it counts.
I thought I was getting all these steps but my number was going up because of writing on the board and erasing it.
I did use them when I walked outside to motivate me.
I know people love them and even the kids at school have them.

  6. Yes you definitely need a tracker. In December I vowed to ‘propel myself’ (walk, bike, row, hike, run, crawl) 2017 miles on 2017. My boyfriend bought me a Fitbit….I love it….so I count every step toward my goal.

That said….I’m constantly amazed at how many steps I rack up on some days….and disgusted at other days when I move very little bit think I’m doing a lot. It was an eye opener!!!

  7. I have a Fitbit and you would be shocked at how many steps you took yesterday doing all of what you did. Cleaning my house and washing clothes really adds to my step count every day. I never have less than 2 miles per day and if I go to the gym and walk on the treadmill I get a lot of steps for the day.

I figure my steps cleaning, washing, shopping and just plain moving added to my gym steps will get me to my 100 miles this month.

  8. You totally need to get a step tracker! I’ve had my Fitbit glued to me for almost four years. It’s seen me through ups and downs on the scale, plus times of great activity and also sloth-like behavior. I’ve gone through at least four devices. Lost 2, 1 died and my Zip is still hanging on.
