Driving Privileges. Yay!

What a great day!

Not only did I get a blog posted yesterday, but now that I can drive again, I met a friend for lunch and ran two errands. It’s the simple things like driving the car and running errands that remind me that life will be back to 100% in no time at all.

I came home and rested for a bit, then I hopped on the treadmill for a leisurely mile followed with some arm exercises in hopes of loosening things up. I have some tight areas in my arms and chest that will hopefully loosen up with some regular movement.

I listened to my body, didn’t do too much and ended the day feeling great.

Not a huge fan of the treadmill, so hoping for some warmer weather soon so I can get outside! For now, this old girl will do.

I haven’t actually tracked any food or counted Smartpoints in a while, but I am going to start counting and tracking on Friday, my weigh-in day.

For now, here is what I ate yesterday!

Breakfast

I heated up some of the hash that I made the day before, topped it with two eggs and made a yummy  Frothy Coffee.

Lunch

Two Mahi-Mahi Tacos and a side of fruit.

These tacos have some sort of cream sauce in them that I love, and it’s not a lot, so I’m thinking they are fairly point friendly.

Dinner

I pulled some chicken out of the freezer and heated it up in the microwave. Slicing this up before freezing it made it much easier to heat up evenly.

I mixed up a bag of salad and topped it with the Chicken Breast for our dinner. I completely forgot to take a picture of my salad after I assembled it, so I pulled the package out of the trash and took a picture of that! Ha ha!

I’m digging these simple dinners!

Look! An old fashioned blog post about what I ate and if I got my exercise in or not! Ahhhh…..that felt good!

Today I’ll walk a mile and a half and get my arm exercises in.

It’s going to be a great day!

  1. You are just about the most thoughtful person Michelle.

Yes, it sure does feel good to feel good. LOL

Mike is doing great. No problems at all. He joined a gym about 4 weeks ago and he hasn’t done the gym thing in a really long time, so I’m super proud of him and look forward to joining with him when I’m ready.

Happy Friday and I hope you have a good weekend. Sending a great big Smile and Hug to you!!

  2. Each day I see a post I am so happy that you are doing well and getting back to things you like to do.

How is Mike doing from the surgery he had?

  3. Have another great day today! you have another good day! Thinking of you as we head off to San Diego today. Someday we are going to meet there again!

  4. I’m liking the salad bags too Nancy! I’ve discovered that if you dump it all in a big bowl, only use half the dressing, put a lid on it and shake the ever loving daylights out of it, it’s plenty of dressing and a nice little arm workout! 😂

  5. I like that salad bag. I also like Smart salad Kale with poppy seed dressing. These bags are easy for a single person.

  6. Good for you! Life moves on even with a few bumps on the road. You are blessed and beautiful. Keep these great post coming. Love to hear that your getting back into your grove. 🙂
