It Feels So Good to Feel So Good

With each day I am feeling more and more like “me”.

I was starting to feel like myself in May, then my knees started giving me trouble. I’ve had so many days over the last few months of feeling frustrated and trying so hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It just wasn’t in sight. I envisioned going into 2019 feeling sluggish and defeated.

Well, I am finally starting to feel better. I went to my physical therapy appointment yesterday for my knee post surgery. I had one more appointments scheduled, but he said that I  seemed to be doing so good that he released me. I graduated from physical therapy!

This past week I’ve been doing 2 miles regularly on the treadmill along with a yoga video with only mild discomfort. It feels so good to be able to do a plank on my wrist. The recent tendonitis surgery see to come completely out of nowhere, but my hand, arm, wrist feels so much better! I don’t feel like there’s anything I can’t do right now physically. There’s still some discomfort, but I can do anything I want to do.

I just loaded up my truck for a short weekend out of town with some girlfriends. This sounds silly, but I was able to bring my suitcase downstairs, carry my heavy packed cooler out to the truck and load it, and load up everything I needed to take without asking for any help. This seems like such a small thing, but I was so uncomfortable walking down the stairs before that I wasn’t able to carry anything because I had to hold onto the railing. This morning I carried my suitcase down by myself without needing to hold on and it really just does feel good to feel so damn good.

I’ll post a blog on Monday about my weekend, but for now I’m looking forward to spending time with some girlfriends and feeling like myself.

I hope you are having a great week!

Lots of chitchat at the WW Studios this week about getting back on track after the Thanksgiving holiday. If this sounds familiar to you, the best thing you can do for yourself is to get right back on track doing what you need to do to reach your goals and maintain your healthy lifestyle.

Hugs to all of you!
