Santa Delivered!

Hi friends! Happy New Year’s eve!

So Santa for real delivered this year and it was so much fun! I felt like a little kid! Before I share Santa though…..

I completely forgot to share our Christmas photos with Effie in my last post! This was such a fun photo shoot in October. I mailed out a few Christmas cards this year for the first time in a long time.

I hope y’all had a great Christmas!

Santa delivered! I’m going to share just a few pics here as Mike and I went out in our red sleigh to deliver our gifts to the grandkids! It was 28° outside so it was a little chilly in the sled but as Mr. and Mrs. Claus, we had a duty to fulfill, bring the spirit of Christmas to the grandkids!

Santa kinda looks like a bad ass! Ya think? He’s all mine ladies.

We had so much fun delivering the gifts to the kids but it was cold and I was more than happy to head back home and sit by the fire and sip on some wine. I then made us a yummy Paleo Lasagna dinner while listening to Christmas music (Nat King Cole – my all time favorite!) and after dinner we got cozy and watched Christmas movies.

It was fun opening gifts together Christmas morning by the fire with Christmas music playing in the background. Santa brought me a chair I’ve been wanting for my office and he even put it together for me while I sipped coffee and watched. I felt like such a kid. I was giddy for sure.

My basement office has become pretty dang cozy.

Just as Santa and I sat down to have Christmas breakfast, we received a FaceTime call with all four of our kids! It was spur of the moment but we truly could not have planned it any better! They watched us open the gifts they had bought for us. We got to enjoy breakfast while visiting with all four of our kids. If there could be a perfect 2020 Christmas morning, we had it and were extremely grateful for this time with our kids.

A couple of days after Christmas my dad and stepmom came over. I knew my dad had a special gift he wanted to give to me and I had a pretty good idea of what it was. Over a year ago he started building a miniature version of Effie. He has built a miniature version of his own vintage trailer and a miniature version of my brothers as well.

The trio when I first joined the family hobby.

I wish I had pictures of the inside. The detail is crazy and everything is to scale. My dad has been building miniatures for many years and his patience for detail amazes me.

I knew it was coming. What I wasn’t expecting was everything that came with it. Santa truly delivered this year and it’s been an amazing few days. I’ve been playing with my new toys literally like a small child.

I have a garage!!! And a truck!

Everything fits perfectly inside.

I even have lights!

Don’t you want to come over and play?

Do you see the miniature of the miniature??? The newspaper is the Kansas City Star. No joke.

The details…..the jack stands under the trailer, the jalousie style windows, the trunk opens and has my spare tire in it, he used a small tool to punch the design into a thin sheet of aluminum, the AC unit on top, the step actually pulls out from under the door, the door opens to peek inside, the awning with the poles and there is a hitch attached as well!!! It’s just too damn cute.

I even have my own tool box! Fits perfectly in the truck bed.

Just like the real deal.

I don’t remember when he first started working on it , but I can’t imagine the hours that went into it all.

Peeking in the front window. Makes me want to shrink and climb inside.

He left dirty dishes in my sink!

The drawers all open and are filled with dishes.

He even included my little potty bucket in the closet that I store it in. With a roll of TP!

That’s a mini pic of Tess when she was three. Dying!

These garage pictures look like a real garage! It’s full of toys, Christmas decorations, tools and several cleverly placed bottles of coca cola!

I can’t even right now, can you??

I hope you’ve enjoyed me sharing this wonderful gift of mine with you! I’m feeling very loved knowing how much time this took my pops to complete.

Five miles in the freezing cold yesterday!! Get out there! You will NOT regret it!

Happy New Year!

Stay Safe, stay Hopeful and stay Healthy!

Sharing my 2021 plans with you soon friends!
