Crockpot Pork Chops

I think I found this recipe last winter. It is certainly great comfort food for those cold winter days, but I also like the idea of the crockpot for these hot summer days when you have no desire to grill out, or turn on the oven. I am going to say it is approximately 7 PPV, but it will of course depend on the size of your pork chops, and how much sauce you serve up! Cashing in!

This weeks “to do list”. Drop off recycling (there were a lot less beer bottles than usual!) Drop of donation clothing (aka…FAT clothes) Cash in loose coins at the bank……$35.82! When I do something fun like that, I hate to just put that money in my purse and spend it on groceries, or on every day items. It needs to be on something special! So I decided to buy a Milk Frother! My old one seems to be shot, which is why I have been frequenting Starbucks more often. I figure it will pay for itself, right? So really, it’s like…..free. Psych……something???

I swear at times I think I’m psychotic, no wait…..I have psychosis? No, that’s not it either. Okay, actually, I Googled psychosis, and maybe I do have that. There are moments that I have a word in my head, but it won’t come out of my mouth…..it’s psych….something…… PSYCHIC!! That’s it! I think I’m Psychic! I was really nervous about today’s weigh in. I gained a bit last week and went to 170.8, and I wanted to be back where I was the week before that……167.2. I don’t want anymore 170’s. Early in the week, I weighed a home and the scale said 166. I was pretty sure my scale was broken. I woke up this morning at 4:30 am and wanted to get on my scale, but I thought I should wait until at least 7:00 am……because I might still be losing weight! You have to decide….to decide.

I wouldn’t describe myself as “wishywashy”, but I would be the first one to admit that sometimes, I don’t make a decision. Sometimes I don’t let myself make a decision, because I know the right decision to make, but it’s not the decision I WANT to make. Wow, that’s really wordy. Here’s what I’m getting at. I decided to make a plan for some obstacles that I am going to be faced with as far as food and beverages go. I know, from past experience, if I don’t make a plan, I let everything fall apart. I also know, from past experiences, that if I make a plan for myself (you know…..really say “This is what I am going to do.”), then I do it! A Little Variety in My Walk

I was lying awake at 6:30 am and thought…..why not? So I got outta bed, did the dog thing, did the flower thing, and filled my cute little Target, clearance Back Pack, from last year sometime, with money, cell phone and IPad and hit the pavement to Starbucks, 2.4 miles down the road. I ordered perfect Oatmeal, made with nonfat steamed milk, and a Misto, also made with nonfat steamed milk! I settled in and did lots of blog reading, email…..and Facebook! I was there for an hour or so….maybe longer? I knew it had to be getting super hot out, so I headed back. I wore my heart rate monitor and the trip home was a little more intense! More uphill. July 4th Dinner

Would you believe after all of my Kick Ass planning for last night, I forgot to put my fabulous container of veggies in the cooler???? URG!!! I stuck to my “no beer”…….. And ate this! Hot dog and bun+Baked Beans+Salad+Crackers+Dip+Brownie = 23 PPV! I drank so much water, I lost count! Refresh…I can eat 26 points a day. I can earn Activity Points by doing exercise.I have an allowance of 49 points that I can dip into if I chose. I should drink a minimum of 6 (8 oz) glasses of water each day. The food I ate today and it’s PPV. Celebrate! (but not with too much food!)

Today is one of the many days I wonder why I was so Blessed to be born in America. You hear sad stories on the news, or read sad stories in the paper about all the unfortunate lack of Freedom of so many that live in other countries, and as sad as it makes me, it also reminds me that I am truly blessed. Say your prayers today for those that are less fortunate than us, simply because of geography, then thank God for your blessings. Now, let’s CELEBRATE! I actually continued my Wednesday 6:30 am Bootcamp this morning! Then to Starbuck’s……which I believe has become a little too routine. Oooops. Then to the grocery store. Turkey Sausage

The serving size is 3 sausages. 3 of these are 3 PPV. 1 Sausage = 1 PPVI like to make one and cut it up and toss it in my scrambled egg whites. I’m just looking for a little kick to breakfast when I eat these. I also like to heat up one in the microwave, slice it into three slices, and put it on an egg white sandwich. I get lots of sausage flavor, a taste in every bite, and only 1 PPV. Occasionally on a Sunday morning, I will cook two small new potatoes in the microwave. Then I dice them up and cook them in a skillet with a little cooking spray and some chopped onion. After thats all brown and crispy, I add two or three chopped up Turkey Sausages, and six egg whites. Today’s Total PPV

That last blog was a long one and I totally skipped out on posting my days total in points! Refresh…I can eat 26 points a day. Lots of challenges ahead……and a plan to go with them.

I got on the scale this morning to give me an idea how the week is going since Fridays gain. I think things are actually good! The scale was pleased. I have a LOT of challenges the next two weeks. I really think I am going to disappoint myself if I set my goals to high. And by high……I mean lose weight over these next 12 days. Then I’m torn. Am I making excuses to not lose weight over these next 12 days? Or am I being realistic with the food challenges that are ahead? That’s a hard question to answer sometimes. Am I making excuses or being realistic? I decided to write out my plan before I get in the middle of all these events and freakout! I seem to do best with a plan, and best with short term goals.
