Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger. It’s an old SNL skit with John Belushi, Chevy Chase, Dan Akyroyd and a few other SNL old school regulars. I couldn’t get Cheeseburger Cheeseburger out of my head after my Workshops yesterday. The topic of the Sonic Cheeseburger commercial (I haven’t seen it) came up at a couple of Workshops and then I was craving a Cheeseburger like crazy! I turned to the WW App after recommending that to the WW Members, and I discovered several Cheeseburger recipe ideas. Bacon Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger Casserole, Cheeseburger Tortilla Pizza, Cheeseburger Crunch Wrap, Cheeseburger Bombs, Greek Style Cheeseburger and a Slow Cooker Cheeseburger Soup! That was the one that stood out to me right away and I had all but one ingredient that I thought I could do without, so that was my pick, WW Cheeseburger Soup for dinner.
A little info for my WW Members….
You can type anything in the WW Recipe search bar from an ingredient to a cuisine. Type in asparagus and you’ll find all the WW recipes with asparagus in it. Type in Italian, and the Italian recipes come up. Pizza? Cheeseburger Cheeseburger? You get the idea! I’ve used it more than ever over this last month when I’m looking for ideas of things to make with what I have. Sometimes I just like to scroll through the pictures for inspiration of something to make. Such a great tool right there in your app.
Also, find a recipe but you don’t have all of the ingredients, or see things in the recipe that you don’t like and you’d like to sub a few things? You can edit the recipe, like I did yesterday because I didn’t have any evaporated milk and I used 96% lean ground beef instead of the 93% lean ground beef that the recipe called for.
See this Edit button?
Clicking on the Edit button will allow you to delete any ingredients you are not using and add the ingredients that you are using. My changes reduced this recipe from 5 Smartpoints per serving to 3 Smartpoints per serving.
I hope you’ve enjoyed your App class today. Ha! I miss teaching them.
After my nice day of rest and doing absolutely nothing on Wednesday, I went to bed early, cuz you know, wiped out from all the nothing I did. I went to sleep easily and apparently slept hard….until 3:00 am. Then, I was wide awake. I found a show to watch on Netflix for an hour. Still….wide awake. At 4:00 I watched a movie. At 6:00, still wide awake, I got up and made coffee and started my day.
I have three Workshops on Thursday and I fill the rest of the day with things to do around the house and keeping busy. Between my morning and noon workshop I decided to make an old favorite, The Big Ass Waffle. It was soooo good!
After my second workshop I took a long walk and made up for my nothing day. It was beautiful and that 4 miles seemed easy.
After my evening workshop, Cheeseburger Soup!
I ended the day 400 steps shy of 10,000. Typically that would bug the heck out of me, but for some reason it didn’t. Maybe all of that nothin I did the day before put me in a relaxed state.
Brunch
The Big Ass Waffle. (That’s what the recipe creator named it). I made this one a Chocolate variety by using the WW Chocolate Protein Powder and topped this Big Ass Waffle (and I like saying it) with a Big Ass Strawberry and sliced my Banana diagonal for some Big Ass Banana Slices. I also added 1 T of Nut Butter and 2 tsp of Pure Maple Syrup. 8 Smartpoints was a lot of points for brunch, but I knew I’d be satisfied through the afternoon with all the protein in this baby.
Snack
Come on. Isn’t yogurt cute in a beer tasting glass? I sprinkled Pumpkin Pie Spice on top and this was a great little sweet treat.
Dinner
My Cheeseburger Soup didn’t look near as cheesy as the picture in the WW App. Maybe because I didn’t have the evaporated milk? This was tasty.
I’m happy to be back to blogging daily. I also realize after looking at these pictures of what I ate yesterday, I need me some veggies today!
Happy FriYaY! I hope you have an amazing day and that you are safe, well and happy.
“love the life you live, live the life you love”
Well now all I can think about is onion rings. 😂 I’m going to have to see if I can try those in the air fryer. I’ve tried french fries twice and so far I’m not having much luck. The soup was good! Of course now I’m also wanting a pizza.😂😂😂
First I kept thinking about a Bigboy and onion rings (local Frisch’s) since reading this but now I’ve been craving pizza, pizza!
I know it’s helping the food industry talking about it but I think my pizza craving is stronger now then before.
Although I haven’t wanted sweet things lately so maybe that is good.
I keep saying I’ll order a pizza on “Take out Tuesday” but then I don’t.
I like your cheeseburger soup idea!
It’s a pretty versatile recipe. I also think you can use any protein Pancake mix! Enjoy!
Hi, I didn’t know you can substitute the WW protein powder for the devotion powder. I’ll give it a try.
