I can’t get past the theme of fall for these last several post. Chilly weekends and Chili Weekends. Am I right??
If you were a squirrel, you would get to enjoy this gorgeous view of these beautiful few weeks of fall. If you can, find a pile of leaves, get down on the ground and you too can enjoy a squirrels view. Or, just enjoy the fact that I did that for you and took this photo.
Yesterday was a big errand day and would you believe I’ve already done quite a bit of Christmas shopping? The bigger the family gets, the earlier I need to start shopping! These kids of ours keep having more kids and soon I’ll be Christmas shopping in July! I don’t mind. Bring on the babies!
So far so good with the trainer and the new workout app. My workout yesterday was a 50 minute full body workout. Julie Marie (my trainer) has been checking in on me regularly to see what I think of the workouts, offer alternatives to exercises that might not work for me right now and giving me some great feedback and encouragement. For now, the guidance and structure is just what I needed.
I Bought a Rug!
After shopping at a designer showroom yesterday afternoon for an area rug and experiencing sticker shock, I ordered one online last night at 11:30. They have a 30 day return policy and it should be here within a week! This living room needs to be practical for big family get togethers that involve a whole lotta kids. No need to spend an arm and a leg, and a kidney and any other body parts for something we may replace in 3-5 years. Also, I like to switch things up now and then and I’d hate to spend a fortune on something and grow tired of it. Fingers crossed that this one is a keeper!
Celebrating!
We went to dinner with Kate and her family to celebrate a few birthdays. Sophia, the beautiful redhead at the end, turns 9 today and Mike and Kate both have Halloween birthdays. This little family owned Mexican restaurant is sooo good and it was the perfect place to meet up for a family dinner.
Yesterday……
Breakfast
Coffee and Almond Milk. One day soon I’m going to figure out how to import a video into my post and show you my morning coffee ritual with my frothy almond milk. I know, I know. A cliff hanger!
Lunch
Tuna Salad sprinkled with EBTB, a few veggies and celery with almond butter.
Dinner
Huge success! I drank water. No beer. I ate ZERO chips and I ordered Chicken Fajitas. This huge pile of food showed up and it was delicious. I ate about half of the chicken and two corn tortillas, a few bites of beans to taste them, then brought the remainder home. I’m looking forward to lunch today!
This came in the mail yesterday. Celebrating “me” today with a reminder to myself how long I thought about becoming a WW Leader/Coach and that I made it happen 5 years ago!
I’ll see you beautiful people tomorrow!
Happy Fall FriYaY!!
“love the life you live, live the life you love”
Those fajitas were delish!! Thanks for reading! You’re the best!
Great family photo celebrating birthdays! That photo of your fajitas made my mouth water. You take the best foodie pix. Looking forward to seeing your frothy coffee. Never thought of doing that, but kinda fun, right? And the fall leaves photos are such a gift because our trees just aren’t showing off much this year. Yellow then brown. Blah. So thanks for sharing all your gorgeous colors. And for the record, you’re spoiling us rotten with these daily posts and we love it!!
I never edit care for the texture at 90 seconds. All microwaves differ I know but 3 minutesin mine makes a nice “ cake” texture vs a bowl of oatmeal.
Yes, that might be a drive but will keep it in mind if we are ever out in that direction.
Miss seeing you! Thanks for blogging and for all the shared recipes and food finds. I also eat the 90 second muffin in the cup all the time for breakfast. I do a banana, egg beater substitute, oatmeal, cinnamon, and truvia. After it is cooked I add a little sugar free syrup and a couple of chocolate chips. So yummy! You mentioned that you cook it for 3 minutes. Maybe I need to cook it longer 🙂
Hey friend!! Barrigas in Greenwood, Mo. Maybe a bit of a drive for you 😂 but it’s close to their house and has become a favorite! Hope you’re doing great!
What was the place of the Mexican Restaurant? Also, looking for new places to try.
