Blog Stuff I had a few tech issues that needed to be resolved on the blog these last few days, which put a halt to my posting. Hate it when that happens. In other news, I’ve had some exciting things happen this week that involve my blog that I will fill you in on later, but they have occupied a little blog time as well. Except for a lack in posting these last few days, Blog life is pretty good right now, and that makes me happy. Exercise If you missed my last post, Latiffany won the FlipBelt, and she has already received it! I think she might be happy about it! She’s a sweetie and so appreciative. That was fun. I just might need to do another Give Away? This month I am exercising 5 days a week for a minimum of one hour. I think it’s a good plan. […]

And the Winner Is…..
Challenge and Give Away Congrats to Latiffany Connellly on completing the 100 Miles in May Walking Challenge and winning the FlipBelt! Latiffany rocked this challenge. Not only did she finished the challenge early, she walked more than 100 Miles! Way to go Latiffany! I hope you enjoy having this belt with you on your walks as much as I do! This was the first time that I’ve asked anyone to join me in a Challenge, and the first time that I’ve done any type of “Give Away”. I am so glad that so many of you joined me in my walking challenge. Thanks for participating, and no matter how many miles you walked, congrats for getting out there and getting in some activity! This months Challenge? Exercise 5 days at week for at least one hour. That’s doable, and it gives me the opportunity to get in a little variety. […]
Walking, Rain and Quiet
It remained quiet here yesterday. I took Tucker out to the park to walk before lunch. It was a beautiful mid morning. The park was full of families having picnics, lots of fisherman and fisherwoman and fisherkids, lots of bikes passing us on the path, lots of dogs and owners and one mom in a kayak towing her four year old son in his own kayak. It was so cute. After one trip around the lake (2 miles), it looked like a pretty good storm was coming in, so we went home. After it passed, I headed back out to walk 4 more miles in my neighborhood. I love this park! I only have 3 miles to walk today, then my challenge is complete! Did you walk 100 Miles with me this month? I will do the drawing at the end of the day today for the FlipBelt! Good Luck! I […]
Quiet Memorial Weekend
Thank you to all of the service men and women who have served, and are currently serving in the United States Military. Your Service is greatly appreciated! It’s been busy but quiet here, and I’ve like it. Saturday morning I spent with my niece and her BFF. I treated them to my Hot Yoga class, then they treated me to Starbucks! That’s a pretty nice start to a weekend. Don’t ya think? Saturday afternoon, I enjoyed a long walk in my new shoes. Saturday night I had all of these grandiose ideas of a night out on the town for Mike and I. At 7:00 pm, I took a shower, put on my pj’s, and told Mike that I wasn’t hungry and that he was on his own for dinner. I don’t do that very often. Then we watched one of the worst and raunchiest movies ever! Robert DeNiro in […]
And It Isn’t Even a Full Moon!
Before I go into all the “Egad” moments of yesterday, I BOUGHT NEW SHOES!! I think this is my fifth pair of these Brooks shoes. They are a bit pricey (for me), but I buy them at a store where they spend time with you not only fitting your foot, but making sure they know what activity you will be doing in your new fancy shoes, and they watch you walk. These shoes fit my feet well and I can walk for hours in them when I keep on top of getting a new pair when needed. They are never attractive, in my opinion, they are a bit clunky looking and they only come in one color. The color changes every nine months, but it’s always blah. Yesterday, he pulled them out of the box and I jumped for joy at the new pretty Purple and Gray! They have a new […]
Good Morning and Happy Friday!
I’m headed out the door to my WW meeting, so I’m keeping today’s post short and to the point. No time for jokes or shenanigans, but hey, maybe later! I’ve made an effort this week to get in some extra protein, get my water in, and get caught up on my walking challenge. I am hoping to see the scale go down today when I weigh in. Having my daughter here last weekend and watching her be so diligent about what she was eating, and seeing her eager to get to her goal weight, triggered in me the desire to get back into the 160’s. My Walking Challenge is now right on track! Yay! (Seriously….buying new walking shoes this weekend!) Here are yesterdays eats… Pre-Breakfast – 1 SP There are a lot of foods that I have not brought back into my diet on a regular basis since doing the Whole30. I […]
Good Food, Lots of Water, Some Exercise…Good Day!
Keeping this super short. Lot’s on the “to do” list for today. I ate good food, I drank 100+ ounces of water and I got my walk in yesterday. Some of you are really killing it on the Walking Challenge! Thanks so much for walking with me! I’m totally into a Netflix series right now, so I took advantage of that exercise room that I was so excited to put together a few months ago, and walked my miles on the treadmill while watching Bloodline. Anybody watching?? Here are yesterdays eats… Breakfast – 8 SP Roasted Butternut Squash, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Zucchini, Red Onion (I have now used up all of my leftovers from the weekend! I’m so glad I cooked so much, but now I really need to grocery shop!) Two Eggs. Lunch – 12 SP I packed my lunch to take to the food truck. I mixed […]
Short Legs, Tired Legs
Egads. This walking challenge thing can go smoothly if you walk 3-4 miles a day. In my case, I’ve not done that, therefore I’ve needed to play catch up! I’ve walked 6 miles a day for the last three days and these short little legs of mine are pooped! Now with 25 miles and 7 days to go, I’m in good shape. Are you walking with me? How many miles do you left to walk in these last 7 days? I got busy doing things around the house and didn’t eat a meal until around 11:30, so yesterdays eats were a little odd for me. Here they are… Breakfast – 1 SP Several Cups of Coffee with 4 oz of Coconut Almondmilk divided among them. Lunch- 4 SP Roasted Butternut Squash, 45g of diced Ham, 6 Scrambled Egg Whites. Blueberries, Strawberries, Pomegranate Seeds (I’ve never bought these before!) topped with 1 tsp Almond […]
A Happy Healthy Weekend
It was such a great long weekend. It was filled with lots of family, lots of fun, lots of healthy and yummy food, lots of activity, and lots of love. I wish I could share every detail, but I would be on the couch blogging all day long. Here is an attempt at the short version. Tess and Manuel came in on Thursday evening and I was super excited to see them! Friday Friday morning, Tess and I went to my WW meeting, and I loved having her there with me. She is rocking her WW healthy living right now. She is at her lowest weight since starting WW a few years back and is just a few pounds from her goal weight. She looks and feels awesome. She is tracking and planning and doing some new exercise classes that have her feeling her best! So happy for her! After our […]
Mini Binge and a Quick Recovery
I’ll just start today’s blog post with yesterday afternoon’s Instagram Post. I recovered and moved on. I know my trigger foods, yet I occasionally buy them, thinking I have mastered the food demons that continue to challenge me. I am not perfect. I never will be. I do not expect myself to be. Knowing that, helped me to move forward and go on about my day without regret, and that feels better than anything! Do all that you can to know yourself. Love yourself. Forgive yourself. It’s life changing. I promise. Walking Challenge I love hearing how everyone is doing with the Walking Challenge! It’s nice to know you all are out there walking with me! I didn’t get out yesterday, (I was assembling furniture with an allen wrench, until Mike came home and provided me with a bit and the power drill. Sometimes I am so dumb. Again, knowing this, […]
