A Latte Kinda Morning

I’ve mentioned recently that my niece is staying with us for a few months. Yesterday, she had the day off and her and I had planned to have lunch together. It was so blah and rainy and cold, we decided that breakfast food and coffee sounded really good. After a morning at home getting a few things done, we put on our Uggs and sweaters and headed out for some yummy food. This weather is dumb. I picked where we went to eat because they have the Best Latte Ever! Not sure what they do different, but the milk is always extra creamy and they just taste perfect! Since we are eating mostly Paleo now, I don’t buy milk and I rarely have a latte, so this was a real treat! She got Mocha. I got Vanilla. Halfway There!

Great Weekend!

We had a great weekend here, and I hope that you did too! I made myself a yummy breakfast on Saturday, got a few things done around the house, then walked 5.5 miles. Breakfast was some Spiralized White Sweet Potatoes (raw, 80 g) cooked in 2 tsp of Bacon fat with a little Red Onion, on top of an Egg White Omelet and topped with Smashed Avocado. 9 SmartPoints for breakfast.   I got my walk in and it was beautiful outside! Mike and I checked into a hotel Saturday afternoon around 5:00. We’ve stayed at this same hotel several times over the past years to celebrate our anniversary, and now it seems to have become a bit of a tradition. My Bodies Favorite Weight

Thank you for all of your kind words regarding yesterday’s post. You guys are the BEST!! It’s been a great week and I’m back down to my bodies favorite weight of 172. It was nice to get to go to my WW meeting yesterday. We’ve been working the food truck on Friday’s and I hadn’t been to a meeting in three weeks. I’m still determined to see the 160’s this calendar year, however, I feel really good at 172, so my desire to weigh 160 something can change from day to day.  I mentioned in my meeting yesterday something that I had blogged about a few weeks ago. Happy, Happy!

I’ve had a “Happy” theme going in my quotes at the end of my blog for a few days now. It’s been a really “Happy” week, so maybe I’m on to something here? Yesterday, I got an interesting email that I assumed was Junk Mail. After further reading, I realized that it wasn’t Junk Mail at all, and that my “Happy” week had just become even Happier! Weird Eats…

No matter how much planning goes into the weeks meals, some days end up being random for one reason or the other. Breakfast  I was trying to get in as much protein as possible, so I wouldn’t be hungry while working at the food truck. Breakfast was odd, but yummy. I learned while doing Whole30, dinner leftovers are awesome for breakfast! Lunch In case I did get hungry at the food truck, I made myself some Tuna/Egg salad to take with me. Typically, when I make my lunch in the morning, I put it back in the fridge, then I set my car keys in the fridge on top of my lunch so I won’t forget to take it with me. Smart, huh? An Active Day!

Yesterday’s Activites I’m loving this walking challenge! The more I exercise, the more energy I have, and I can feel that energy from head to toe. What a great feeling! Don’t get me wrong, I went to bed pooped last night, but I was spunky and full of energy all day yesterday, and I loved it! After working at the food truck, I came home and changed clothes so I could head outside and get my walking miles in. My friend, Becky, said she would walk with me, and walking with a friend always makes the time go faster. After our walk, I decided yesterday was the day to get the Roller Blades out. They Keep Me on My Toes!

Tucker Last week, I took the Pups to Doggie Day Care for a couple of days while I went on a girls trip. Misha is doing great and I got a wonderful report on her while I was on my trip. After my trip, I picked them up and brought them home. The trip home in the car was uneventful. Nobody pooped or pee’d in the car from nerves or excitement (it happens), but I could tell that they both were anxious to get home.. I swear they were smiling. The dogs usually get out of the car in the garage and go straight to the door to the house, eager to get in the house and sniff the comforting smells of home. Happy Anniversary, Blog First of all, today is my Five Year Blogging Anniversary! Yep, five years ago today, I started this little blog of mine as a journal to keep myself accountable with my food, my weight, my exercise and my health, and at times, my sanity.  Below is my very first blog post…..   “This is day one of my blog. Mom Time, Date Night

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We did here. Saturday was full and lots of fun. I slept in a bit. then I made breakfast and ate outside on the deck. I love eating outside, whether at home or going out.   I was headed to my moms house for most of the afternoon, so I packed my lunch.   Mom and I worked on a project for most of the afternoon. She has had this little Ice Cream Table and Chairs forever, and they needed cleaning up and a fresh coat of paint. Cute, huh? Her house, inside and out, is always so welcoming.    After a busy afternoon, I went on a relaxing dinner date with this stud in his new ride. He’s like a teenage boy right now.
