Keeping this super short. Lot’s on the “to do” list for today. I ate good food, I drank 100+ ounces of water and I got my walk in yesterday. Some of you are really killing it on the Walking Challenge! Thanks so much for walking with me! I’m totally into a Netflix series right now, so I took advantage of that exercise room that I was so excited to put together a few months ago, and walked my miles on the treadmill while watching Bloodline. Anybody watching?? Here are yesterdays eats… Breakfast – 8 SP Roasted Butternut Squash, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Zucchini, Red Onion (I have now used up all of my leftovers from the weekend! I’m so glad I cooked so much, but now I really need to grocery shop!) Two Eggs. Lunch – 12 SP I packed my lunch to take to the food truck. I mixed […]

Short Legs, Tired Legs
Egads. This walking challenge thing can go smoothly if you walk 3-4 miles a day. In my case, I’ve not done that, therefore I’ve needed to play catch up! I’ve walked 6 miles a day for the last three days and these short little legs of mine are pooped! Now with 25 miles and 7 days to go, I’m in good shape. Are you walking with me? How many miles do you left to walk in these last 7 days? I got busy doing things around the house and didn’t eat a meal until around 11:30, so yesterdays eats were a little odd for me. Here they are… Breakfast – 1 SP Several Cups of Coffee with 4 oz of Coconut Almondmilk divided among them. Lunch- 4 SP Roasted Butternut Squash, 45g of diced Ham, 6 Scrambled Egg Whites. Blueberries, Strawberries, Pomegranate Seeds (I’ve never bought these before!) topped with 1 tsp Almond […]
A Happy Healthy Weekend
It was such a great long weekend. It was filled with lots of family, lots of fun, lots of healthy and yummy food, lots of activity, and lots of love. I wish I could share every detail, but I would be on the couch blogging all day long. Here is an attempt at the short version. Tess and Manuel came in on Thursday evening and I was super excited to see them! Friday Friday morning, Tess and I went to my WW meeting, and I loved having her there with me. She is rocking her WW healthy living right now. She is at her lowest weight since starting WW a few years back and is just a few pounds from her goal weight. She looks and feels awesome. She is tracking and planning and doing some new exercise classes that have her feeling her best! So happy for her! After our […]
Mini Binge and a Quick Recovery
I’ll just start today’s blog post with yesterday afternoon’s Instagram Post. I recovered and moved on. I know my trigger foods, yet I occasionally buy them, thinking I have mastered the food demons that continue to challenge me. I am not perfect. I never will be. I do not expect myself to be. Knowing that, helped me to move forward and go on about my day without regret, and that feels better than anything! Do all that you can to know yourself. Love yourself. Forgive yourself. It’s life changing. I promise. Walking Challenge I love hearing how everyone is doing with the Walking Challenge! It’s nice to know you all are out there walking with me! I didn’t get out yesterday, (I was assembling furniture with an allen wrench, until Mike came home and provided me with a bit and the power drill. Sometimes I am so dumb. Again, knowing this, […]
A Latte Kinda Morning
I’ve mentioned recently that my niece is staying with us for a few months. Yesterday, she had the day off and her and I had planned to have lunch together. It was so blah and rainy and cold, we decided that breakfast food and coffee sounded really good. After a morning at home getting a few things done, we put on our Uggs and sweaters and headed out for some yummy food. This weather is dumb. I picked where we went to eat because they have the Best Latte Ever! Not sure what they do different, but the milk is always extra creamy and they just taste perfect! Since we are eating mostly Paleo now, I don’t buy milk and I rarely have a latte, so this was a real treat! She got Mocha. I got Vanilla. After our Latte’s, a tasty breakfast, additional cups of black coffee and a really good […]
Halfway There!
Are you walking with me? Did you make it to 50 miles in your 100 Mile Walking Challenge? It was rainy and blah here all day long yesterday, and I did a lot of activity on Sunday, so yesterday, I took a break, so I’m a mile short, but it’s all good. Don’t forget to comment here on the blog, or on my IG post, or on my Facebook post for an entry into the drawing to win the Flip Belt! Each time you comment and tell me how you’re doing, you get one entry. I’ve never done a drawing on the blog, so I’m doing my first one “Old School”. For each time you comment, I write down your name on a pink slip of paper, and put it in this jar. How Old School is that?? Guys, I’m a little blog. Tee Hee. I was in a cooking […]
Great Weekend!
We had a great weekend here, and I hope that you did too! I made myself a yummy breakfast on Saturday, got a few things done around the house, then walked 5.5 miles. Breakfast was some Spiralized White Sweet Potatoes (raw, 80 g) cooked in 2 tsp of Bacon fat with a little Red Onion, on top of an Egg White Omelet and topped with Smashed Avocado. 9 SmartPoints for breakfast. I got my walk in and it was beautiful outside! Mike and I checked into a hotel Saturday afternoon around 5:00. We’ve stayed at this same hotel several times over the past years to celebrate our anniversary, and now it seems to have become a bit of a tradition. They have rooms with large sliding doors that lead out to a balcony where you can enjoy a great view of the Country Club Plaza. While sitting on the balcony, […]
My Bodies Favorite Weight
Thank you for all of your kind words regarding yesterday’s post. You guys are the BEST!! It’s been a great week and I’m back down to my bodies favorite weight of 172. It was nice to get to go to my WW meeting yesterday. We’ve been working the food truck on Friday’s and I hadn’t been to a meeting in three weeks. I’m still determined to see the 160’s this calendar year, however, I feel really good at 172, so my desire to weigh 160 something can change from day to day. I mentioned in my meeting yesterday something that I had blogged about a few weeks ago. Moderators and Abstainers If you missed that blog post, I had recently read that most of us will define ourselves as one or the other. The short version… Moderator Finds comfort in knowing they can have something in moderation. Six chips at the […]
Happy, Happy!
I’ve had a “Happy” theme going in my quotes at the end of my blog for a few days now. It’s been a really “Happy” week, so maybe I’m on to something here? Yesterday, I got an interesting email that I assumed was Junk Mail. After further reading, I realized that it wasn’t Junk Mail at all, and that my “Happy” week had just become even Happier! You guys, somebody (Diet-To-Go …a diet plan that delivers your food choices to your door) found my blog, read it, liked it, and found it worthy of….are you ready? The Top 100 Inspirational Weight Loss Bloggers You’ve Probably Never Heard Of (Until Now) The title cracks me up. I went to the website (You can too by clicking on the above link.) and checked things out, and sure enough, there I was! I even like the little paragraph about me! Now I’m anxious to check out […]
Weird Eats…
No matter how much planning goes into the weeks meals, some days end up being random for one reason or the other. Breakfast I was trying to get in as much protein as possible, so I wouldn’t be hungry while working at the food truck. Breakfast was odd, but yummy. I learned while doing Whole30, dinner leftovers are awesome for breakfast! Lunch In case I did get hungry at the food truck, I made myself some Tuna/Egg salad to take with me. Typically, when I make my lunch in the morning, I put it back in the fridge, then I set my car keys in the fridge on top of my lunch so I won’t forget to take it with me. Smart, huh? Yeah, I think so. Yesterday, I couldn’t find my car keys and decided that I would just find them before I headed out the door and then […]
