For way more time than I would like to admit, this is what I did on Tuesday. He walked on the piled up pillows beside me and put his head on my shoulder. He’s such a lover. Then he got his head and his body just as close to me as he could. His paw felt like a hug. Then he settled in, and I let him, almost forever. We also spent a little time playing with app’s on my phone. I’m sure I accomplished something else on Tuesday, but I can’t remember what. Oh, wait! I did find a great 10 minute Leg Workout Video on YouTube. It was 10 minutes straight of squats and jumping jacks. My legs were burning at the end, so I’ll guess that I did it right. Make It a Great Day
Yesterday, I tracked my food, counted points, drank over 100 ounces of water and made it to Jazzercise, alll the things that make it a great day for me. What is it that makes it a great day for you? Here are yesterday’s eats… Breakfast – 4 SP 4 Scrambled Egg Whites, Avocado, Banana and Kiwi slices with 1 tsp of Sunbutter. Black Coffee. Lunch – 8 SP Leftover Buffalo Chicken Spaghetti Squash Casserole with lots of crunchy veggies. I remembered I had some romaine lettuce in the fridge, so I had a couple of lettuce wraps. I loved the crunch! Snack – 8 SP I’m keeping these in my car, in my trunk, in a bag. It keeps me from grabbing one just because I see them. Now I really think about whether it’s worth it or not. Just Food Today…..
Yesterday I ate some yummy food, drank over 100 ounces of water, and had a good time watching the Super Bowl with friends. I had a couple of glasses of wine during the game. I did not count points yesterday. I’m not sure what’s going on with me right now and my not tracking, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out. I think I know I’m staying within my points for the day (except for the wine), so I just haven’t been keeping track? Not sure. Anyhow, feel good, but lacking in activity for the week, so I’m out the door to Jazzercise. Have a great evening! Here are yesterday’s eats…. Breakfast My favorite. Super Bowl, Friends and Fun
We are going on vacation really soon, and I gotta tell ya, I’m in vacation, relaxation, party mode. This is a really poor excuse of a Weight Watcher Member Blog Post. I didn’t eat terrible the last two days, but I drank too much wine on Friday, skipped dinner totally on Friday, didn’t exercise the last two days, and I haven’t tracked my points. Today we are going to a Super Bowl Party, and I’m making healthy snacks, but I plan to have beer with my healthy snacks. I went to my WW meeting Friday morning, had a great meeting, enjoyed seeing everyone, left feeling healthy and ready for my vacation. I met a friend for lunch and had a Salmon Caesar Salad. I Gotta Brag about The Hub’s
First let me say that no matter what I weigh, my highest weight, my lowest weight, Mike has always told me that I’m sexy, and when he says it, I know that he means it, whether I think it or not. For that, and for so many other reasons, I love him. I’ve talked with several women at my WW meeting that have spouses that aren’t super supportive in their journey to become healthier and lose weight. I can’t imagine living with a spouse or partner that didn’t support my journey to a healthier me. Mike has always been supportive of my WW journey, and all of the emotions that have gone with my journey. Sweet Potato Buns
I’ve been eating these Sweet Potato Buns for a few months now. They are so easy, they didn’t really seem worthy of their own post. I’ve now decided that because they are so easy, and that because I eat them so often, and because they are so good, that they do deserve their own post. Use as a Bun for an Egg and Avocado Sandwich. I had mixed some cooked Chicken with Taco Seasoning and Greek Yogurt. This was really good! Use them like Potato Skins and top with Smashed Avocado, Scrambled Eggs and Bacon Crumbles. Turkey Spaghetti
I love a bowl of spaghetti on a cold night. Wait, I love a bowl of spaghetti on any night, or any day, and I wouldn’t say no to a bowl of spaghetti for breakfast. Oh dang, Eggs on spaghetti? Maybe! It’s one of those comfort meals that I’ve learned to enjoy with less calories, more vegetables, but still taste great and it is so easy to make. Serves 4 One Serving = 0 SmartPoints Ingredients 1 lb. Ground Turkey, 99% Lean 1 onion, diced 2 garlic gloves, minced Sea Salt and Black Pepper, to taste 15 oz can diced tomatoes 15 oz can tomato sauce Optional: Oregano, Basil, Thyme to taste Directions Cook turkey, onions and garlic until turkey is no longer pink and cooked through. Homemade Marinara Sauce
This is an easy and healthy alternative to store bought spaghetti sauces and marinara’s. When you can get a hold of some fresh tomatoes at the produce stand, I highly recommend giving this a try. I am admittedly terrible at writing a recipe. I season to taste, therefore I don’t have measurements on my spices. Forgive me. Kitchen Chaos….
Wednesday I told you all about my new Home Gym. I used it yesterday and I think I love it! Today I am going to list all of the things that happened in the kitchen on Tuesday night. My plan was to cook a meatloaf for dinner, and while that was in the oven, I was going to grill Chicken Breast and Turkey Burgers on my gas grill to make dinner for the rest of the week a cinch. My light bulb in the kitchen, that is the closest to the stove, burnt out, and we were out of all light bulbs. Not a big deal, but just the start. (I can barely cook without my reading glasses and all of the lights on!) It was really windy, so I rolled the gas grill right up to the door so I could basically stand inside, and grill out.
