And you thought I (accent the I) was a dog lover?

I had a super busy morning on Tuesday…..Twittering, Facebooking, Blogging, Emailing, and Pinteresting. I may eat entirely from Pinterest this Fall. But then I saw this and melted. You know from reading, I am in love with my dogs, but never have I been so excited about taking pictures of a dog. But you guys, seriously……..Tucker LOVES to have his picture taken! Maybe its the breed? Because I found this dog that looks just like him, and apparently a dog owner that is maybe crazier than I am!!! I am just throwing this out there, but I am pretty sure Tucker will be having a birthday party this summer, and we will be making these cupcakes, Weight Watcher friendly, of course. You know the thought of it makes you smile. Breakfast was simple. Toast with Pumpkin Butter (Thank you, Louisburg Cider Mill)3 PPV LunchThe Leftovers are now gone. 🙁 Roasted […]

Taco Stew? Ok.

I worked a lot on Monday, therefore I have no exciting “Adventures of Julie” stories for the day. I oddly, did not eat much, but what I did eat, was really yummy. I will say the best part of my day was the chilly walk I took in the afternoon, and the cup of coffee I enjoyed on the deck outside afterwards. Have I mentioned, I am ready for Fall??? Weekend Festivities…..

Well, it was a wonderful weekend full of family, friends, fun AND lots of food! Just the way I like it! I spent the entire day in the kitchen on Saturday cooking and baking. I had the house to myself (well, minus constantly tripping over the dogs, while they waited for any amount of food to drop) the stereo was cranked up, and the coffee pot was keeping me company. I did have an egg sandwich to start off my day.4 PPV We were going to a friends house for dinner and to hang out around the fire pit. Yay, Fall! Football, fire pits, food and friends! Just what I’ve been waiting for! 🙂 I found a recipe on Pinterest that was screaming Fall, and screaming my name, but I knew if I made them, I had to take them someplace, or I would eat them all! I love anything […]

It’s like it just doesn’t want to leave me!

My day started off as my typical Friday does. Snuggled in bed with the dogs, one cup of coffee, then to my WW meeting. Things went as suspected. I stayed the same….. The way I look at it, I’m just fighting that 8.6 pounds right now, then I can worry about the final ten that will get me to 150. But these eight pounds are really wanting to hang on to me! I don’t know if my body is so used to this being my average weight that it doesn’t want to let go or what, but it is really getting old. Despite the numbers on the scale, I was in a really good mood and had lots on my “to do list”, and I was feeling productive, so I headed home to get started. The weather was gorgeous, and I was ready to open up the windows and let […]

Went for Sexy…….got Mr. Magoo?

I saw these at the Sunglass Hut. I HAD to try them on! I was going for this…….. But I think I got more….well……this……… After my morning coffee, and a greek yogurt…………4 PPV ………I headed out for a rainy afternoon of shopping and lunch with some friends. I didn’t buy the glasses, but I did get these! After a few dressing rooms, a second latte, and a few raindrops, we finally made it to lunch, my FAVORITE part of shopping! We went to Bravo for something warm and yummy, and possibly a glass of wine. Yes, I have decided one or two drinks (not 6 or 8 beers) is doable. The others ordered a Bloody Mary, but unsure of the points, I went with a red wine, which is what I was thinking anyhow. I didn’t take any pictures of my lunch, but thanks to the World Wide Web (does […]

Happy 70th Birthday, Mom.

My mom loves a good breakfast. I inherited that. My mom also loves a nice long massage. I inherited that as well. So guess what she got for her birthday? We celebrated her birthday morning with one of our favorites, Biscuits and Gravy! And I gave her a Gift Certificate for a couple of massages! Where was breakfast? The Big Biscuit! I ordered a Quarter order, which is HALF of a Big Biscuit, topped with sausage gravy. I cancelled the hash browns, and chose the fruit instead. 🙂I am guessing here…..20 PPV? I am thinking I need a massage………. After breakfast , I made another trip to Louisburg for more Pumpkin Butter! I was feeling super Fallish, so I went to Starbucks first to get a Tall ( the smallest size, for you Non-Starbuckers ) Nonfat Pumpkin Spice Latte! (Please note my new Pumpkin Colored purse…..Thank You, Target!) I also […]

A Little Bit of This, and a Little Bit of That….

Well, I got my French Toast after all. There are a few items I buy at Trader Joe’s that I almost can’t live without now, and the bread is one of those tems. After using up the last of my bread Sunday morning on my French Toast for Tucker, I knew I needed to make a grocery run. So I made a trip to Trader Joes and stocked up. This bread is super dense. I seem to no longer be a sandwich person, except for breakfast sandwiches, but this bread makes the best toast ever! French Toast, made with egg whitesTopped with spray butter, blueberries and banana slices and 1 T. Maple Syrup.4 PPVEgg White Omelette1 PPV Total for Breakfast = 5 PPV (that’s a LOT of food!) Well, here’s what I did NOT get to eat!

I haven’t made French Toast in a LONG time. I got up Sunday Morning knowing exactly what I was going to fix for breakfast. I was going to enjoy eating it outside in the cool morning on the deck with a big mug of coffee. I had exactly four pieces of my Trader Joes bread left. One piece is 1 PPV, and I was going to enjoy all four of them! I had everything ready to go! I topped it with real Maple Syrup, sliced banana and fresh blueberries! Isn’t it beautiful? Would you believe right after I took this picture, I went to get my coffee, and when I turned around, Tucker was IN MY PLATE! He got a good lecture! Wouldn’t even look me in the face! Finally, he said he was sorry. I told him under absolutely NO CIRCUMSTANCES, would he get to play with his favorite […]

Music on Main

Saturday’s duties included washing the car, grocery shopping, walking the dogs, exercise and laundry. I was scurrying around to get it all done because we had a big afternoon planned! Music on Main! An Annual Event on Main street in Grandview. Free Admission…..bring your own chair……Food Trucks…..Beer Tent…..great Music……and possibly even Better people watching! We thought we could bring a cooler, so I packed it full of healthy snacks to munch on throughout the afternoon. Turkey, cheese, almonds, apple slices, grapes, carrots………….lots of good stuff! When we arrived, the entire cooler had tipped over and the large amount of ice that had already melted was now water all over the trunk! Yay! Good times! Then we discovered you couldn’t bring coolers after all. 🙂 On the stage in this picture is Liverpool. They are a Beatles cover band and did an awesome job! Next on the stage was Blues Singer, […]
