I worked at the food truck yesterday. I did NOT eat my breakfast late in the morning so I wouldn’t be as hungry when I got to the food truck, as I suggested to myself in yesterday’s post. I was hungry as soon as I started smelling the burgers cooking. I did NOT wake up early enough to get any exercise in before working, and not only did I eat a little pork that I didn’t take a picture of, I also ate a little chicken salad and a bag of chips. To top it off, we are babysitting the grandkids for the weekend and I have none of the food planned. On a good note, my WW week starts on Friday and yesterday wasn’t the end of the world. My granddaughter took a mile walk with me and the dogs last night. I have a fridge full of plenty […]
Loving My Adventurous Little Sis!
The last couple of weeks have been busier than usual for my typical schedule. We’ve been super busy with the Food Truck, which I love, and there’s just been a lot going on…..in life. The last two day’s I’ve had major computer issues which have consumed way more time than I’d like to admit. After Googling all sorts of things and tying to do some troubleshooting of my own, followed by two phone calls to tech support, I solved the whole problem (I think) by turning my computer off, then on. I hate it when that happens. WHY WHY WHY do I not simply do that to my computer and/or phone EVERY time I have an issue, 90% of the time it solves the problem, and I would save myself so much mental frustration and time!!! Wow…I feel better after a good vent. Thanks for listening….or reading. 🙂 Yesterday I […]
Good Day…Weird Stuff
It was just one of those good days that moved right along. Things got done. I had a plan for the day for what I would do, what exercise I would do, and what I would eat. I stuck with my plan. Along with all the good things that filled up my day, there was some weird stuff too. Here’s my day…… Breakfast – delish Blog, Emails, Facebook…Instagram! (super important stuff!) Yoga – Yay! Starbuck’s – Yum Car Wash – Overdue Lunch – 1 POINT!! Walk – 3 Miles! Yay again! Errand’s – Weird Dinner – Loving this salad combo! Shower Couch time…..Ahhhhhh……… One of my errands yesterday was to return a Rotisserie Chicken to Target. Yes, you read that right. I was returning a chicken! I’ve never bought a rotisserie chicken at Target before, and I love me some Target, but there was NO meat on this chicken! I […]
Friends
Yesterday was a full day at home of “to do’s”. After completing most of the “to do’s”, I met a friend at Jazzercise. This is just my second class since being back after the broken collar bone. The first class I did with no weights, and I felt great afterwards. Yesterday, I went with the 4 pound weights, and again, felt great afterwards! Yay! After Jazzercise, we went to the little neighborhood Mexican joint around the corner, where Monday is Taco night. I ordered two taco’s……..and a Bud Light. After some deep, good girlfriend chat, I had more beer. Sometimes a good long chat with a girlfriend over a few beers, out ranks how many points I’m eating for the day. (I’m at the weird weight where I don’t feel fat. I want to get back to my goal weight of 160 and I know I will feel amazing when […]
Weight Watcher’s Zero Point Soup
Hello Blog! It’s been a busy crazy weekend! I’m ending today’s post with the Weight Watcher Zero Point Soup Recipe, but first let me get caught up! I mentioned in a blog post last week that it was going to be a challenging week with food, and that it was! I did a little socializing on Tuesday, which I blogged about. I worked at the Food Truck on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I attended an awesome Blogging Event on Thursday night, where I walked into a room full of an awesome buffet of food, drinks and dessert! I met some friends for a Happy Hour on Friday to celebrate a friends birthday, Mike and I had a long overdue date night and went out to dinner on Saturday, and Sunday Mike and I went to breakfast with a few family member’s, then to our niece’s daughter’s 2nd birthday party! Lots […]
Life……
Last week, I tried really hard to stay at 26 points a day. At the end of the week, I was happy with my food choices, and I was happy with the scale. I’ve been trying to get out of the 170’s and back at goal weight for awhile now. I know that the way to do that is to stay at 26 points a day, and get in lots of activity. At our WW meeting last week, we talked about Negative Talk, and Positive Talk within ourselves. I really used to have a lot of negative conversations about myself inside my head. I’ve gotten so much better at remembering all of the positive changes that I’ve made over the last few years, and the Positive Talks within myself are now much more common. That being said, here is my confession for Tuesday…. I spent the entire day and night […]
Stuffed Spaghetti Squash
I haven’t tried any new recipes in awhile, so yesterday was the day. I found a few new things I’d like to try this week. I shopped and bought ingredients for a Stuffed Spaghetti Squash, which we had for dinner last night, and I am planning to make a Zucchini Noodle Basil Pesto dish before the end of the week! I had a reader ask recently about my favorite tortilla’s. I am always trying a new brand, but this is a Corn Tortilla that I like! One Serving = 3 Points for 3 Tortilla’s. They are thin, so they don’t always hold together really well. If that bother’s you (it does my husband) then these aren’t for you, but if you’re looking for a low point corn tortilla, and that doesn’t bother you, then these are just for you! I had a super productive day yesterday that included grocery shopping, meal […]
A Little Sis Afternoon!
Last year, I became a part of the Big Brother Big Sister program. That’s where I was matched up with Samone! Next month will be our One Year Anniversary! Big’s and Little’s are matched up through a series of questions. As different as Samone and I are at age 48 and 13, we always have a great time together! One of our similar interest is art. Samone has a super creative side to her that I always find amazing. We’ve been to the Art Fair, we’ve done creative things at the house and we’ve talked about a few artsy things we’d like to do in the future. Yesterday we had an awesome opportunity to get to paint together! The Big Brother Big Sister organizations does a great job of letting you know about activities that they sponsor throughout the city. When I saw an opportunity to paint together, I signed us […]
Hot Yoga, Mowing the Lawn and a Doggie Stroll
I woke up Saturday morning ready to go back to the Yoga Studio. I went to a morning class prepared to do a Yoga Level 1 Class. What I ended up doing, was a Hot Yoga Mixed Level Class. At the end of the class, I was so glad that I had gone to it! I felt like I pushed myself, but I was able to do everything without any shoulder pain and it was a great workout! The right collar bone feels healed, and the left rotator cuff seems to be happy with the cortisone shot! Yay shoulders! (If you were fortunate enough to read…Jazzercise, Pant’s and Bra’s, I was careful to wear all of the right clothing for exercising, and nothing fell out of anything, and my pants stayed up!) After a few tasty eats, I decided to get back into the swing of lawn mowing. I actually don’t mind […]
Looking at a Plan for the Week….
I went to my WW meeting yesterday morning in Jeans! I rarely do that, especially when I’m really looking for a loss at the scale. I weighed at home with my jeans on and off, and they weigh at least a pound. I usually weigh in wearing a pair of ancient and super thin, yoga pants, but I had plans for the day, and besides…. it’s fun to let the WW members know that I own some actual clothes. 🙂 I still had a loss at the scale! I was happy with how my weigh in went, jeans and all. I had a good week tracking and getting back into a bit of an exercise groove. I know that sticking to those 26 points a day, and getting in activity, will eventually get me back into the 160’s. I dipped into the 49 Weekly Points a points a little bit, […]
