That Lake Trip was Quick!!

We knew when we planned our lake weekend that there was a chance we might be cutting it short. Thank goodness we were only a three hour drive from home.

Grand Baby number five came about 11 days earlier than expected and she is stunning!

I introduce to you….

Wrenley Rose, 6 lbs, 8 oz, 18 inches long.

Is she not beautiful? Just like her mama.

Friday morning was filled with more errands than I had anticipated and planned for, but by 2:00 pm, we were ready to go!

I packed enough for a week, and we were to be gone for two days. I like to be prepared people.

I loved the lake house! The weather was chilly, but still it was so pretty.

We spent the evening on the deck curled up in blankets enjoying too many snacks, yummy drinks, playing the game Heads Up, appreciating the heat from the heater and this cute little table!

It was a perfect night spent with great friends.

In the middle of the night (well, I thought that it was the middle of the night) Mike woke me up and asked me if I heard my phone. I had not. When I looked at it, I saw this text from our son Jake.

We felt like we had a few hours, so we enjoyed our morning at the lake, I made a Breakfast Casserole and we sipped on coffee and Bloody Mary’s.

We headed home in the afternoon and spent our evening in the Labor and Delivery waiting room.

Dinner……

At 9:51 in the evening, we had a new grand daughter. This is the first picture that I took of her. She is so perfect.

She was SO alert!! Looking right at her mom!

The happy little family.

Daddy and Papa

One proud Grandpa

I love her so much already.

We left shortly after holding her and when I climbed into bed, I slept like a baby. I guess my brain was all baby.

Since we had planned to be at the lake doing nothing on Sunday, we decided to do nothing for the entire morning.

I did make breakfast.

After a little lounging, I finally got in a walk that was more than just two miles.

I may have overdressed. I don’t like to be cold.

For the afternoon, we headed back to the hospital for more snuggles.

I can’t even, can you?

We went from hospital stocking cap to bow.

Pretty sure she smiled for me.

After Baby Snuggles, a date dinner of Blackened Mahi-Mahi Taco’s and Brussels Sprouts. Mike had the Taco’s too along with some Calamari. I had to have a bite of it. Maybe the best Calamari ever!!

You guys know I had a beer.

That wraps up our weekend!

We have two more babies on the way (both boys!). The girls were able to take this picture when they were all together on Friday night.

I haven’t tracked my food since Thursday. Today, I will be a perfect Weight Watcher!
