My Olympic Saturday started off with me on the couch with my dogs, my coffee and watching the Olympics……it’s hard to pull yourself away once you start watching!
For breakfast, while watching more Olympics, I copied a little treat I found here. She always has the best food combinations! Her name is Julie too! Co-winkydink? Maybe. Who cares. Her website is awesome!
Toasted English Muffin, with honey and COCONUT! It was soooo good!

Crunchy and sweet!
After I pulled myself off and away from the couch, I headed out to mow! It actually felt pretty good outside! When I’m super happy, I mow in a circle, so today in the spirit of the Olympics, I mowed five big circles in the backyard!
(okay, not really, but what an awesome idea for NEXT week! And on occasion, I do mow the front yard in a circle. I start around the big tree in the middle of the front yard, and I just keep going!) Can you say….loser?
When I enter 45 minutes of “push mowing” in my Weight Watchers E-Tools, it tells me I have earned 4 activity points! So, the lawn looks nice and I’m feeling good about getting some activity in!
I like something cold after I mow (and after a workout), so I had a little fruit and yogurt. Have you ever put cinnamon in your vanilla yogurt? Well, you should try it!
1 PPV for half container….
Scrumpdilly! Who doesn’t like cinnamon and peaches?
The cinnamon made it extra special!
( hey, look! I still have wedding nails! Yay!)
I hadn’t had any protein yet, so I went with a Greek Yogurt Bar!……6 grams of Protein! (genius!)

Then, feeling motivated by all of the awesome athletes, I got on the treadmill with the awesome athletes in the background. I planned to run a bit, but hadn’t thought about how much. Since recently running a mile for the first time since high school, I knew I had it in me to go a little further, so at the end of my 1/4 mile warm up, I decided to go for 1.25…….so I did.
1.25 miles running! Whew! I’m no Olympian, but I am feeling pretty proud. I haven’t really figured out the pace I like yet. 4.0 MPH feels comfortable, but I think it’s too slow. I ended my run at 5.0, but really felt winded. Maybe I will get used to that pace? Any thoughts on that from any runners out there?
Afternoon eats included………

We were headed to our oldest Grandchild’s SIXTH (he’s SO big)……
(the birthday boy and his little sis)
……birthday party, and I wasn’t sure of the menu, so the grilled chicken tenders were for a little protein, and I ate a pretty large portion of strawberries on the drive there.
I’m glad I planned for the party, because I wasn’t really hungry when we got there, so I passed on the hotdogs and chips, but did have a small piece of strawberry cake and a small scoop of strawberry ice cream! Yummy…..

I totally forgot my camera and Mikes phone camera and I were not getting along, but the party was at the “other” Grandparents house, and they have the perfect backyard! They have a pool, so it was a pool party, and they also set up the slip and slide! The kids were having a blast and they were all so cute! I will have to post pictures later when I can figure out how to send them to myself off his phone. Remembering to take my readers possibly would have been helpful for reading those little frickin letters on his screen!
