I attended the funeral of my friends husband on Thursday. I felt consumed by the tragedy of it all. Myself and four other friends were able to meet at the visitation and go in together on Wednesday evening. It felt good to be there for our friend. Then myself and one other friend were able to go to the funeral. A funeral is never easy, but an unexpected death, at a young age (he was 47), and a father of a 12 year old son, and a step father to my friends two older children, seem to be even more difficult to accept. My friend comes from a very large family, and it did feel good to see her surrounded by her parents and all of her siblings and extended family.
All that I can do is pray for her and her family. It’s all so very hard to understand.

I fixed myself a small plate at the luncheon after the grave side service. There were drinks available, but I passed.
When I came home, all I wanted to do was eat some comfort food and sit on the deck with a glass of wine, but I made a low point grilled cheese sandwich with some carrots on the side instead, and drank a Diet Coke.
Still wanting some comfort food for dinner, we ordered take-out from Jose Peppers. I only ate half.
I am on my way to my meeting, but according to my scale at home, I might have stayed the same. I did NOT get my miles walked this week like I have been doing, and the other exercises didn’t happen like I had planned either. But I did NOT eat all of my points, so my results this week might be a little hard to understand?
I had an appointment scheduled to start working with a personal trainer, but I had to reschedule that for next week. I am anxious to get started working with him and see how my body will start to change, and get back to Bootcamp.
