Wait, nobody died.
I am in a better place, “mentally”. I am so glad that I finally faced the scale yesterday morning. As difficult as it was to finally do that, It brought me back to where I needed to be.
(Because of the icy roads and the reported accidents just blocks from my house yesterday, I did NOT actually go to my Friday morning meeting, but I did weigh at home.)
Knowing I needed the benefits of an actual WW meeting, I woke up this morning and I headed out the door for the Saturday, early morning WW meeting. I weighed at home before I left the house, and I weighed TWO pounds less than I weighed yesterday at home, so that helped knowing that some of my weight gain was in fact some water weight. It also helped to know that my healthy choices on Friday were reflected on the scale Saturday morning. That was a big motivator to make great choices today too!
I went back through my blog and found this picture of myself in October when I bought those size 8 pair of jeans! This is going to help motivate me even more! 🙂
After my reality check yesterday morning, I am feeling a positive attitude and it’s obvious to me that I will never let myself go back to where I was four years ago. A healthy weight feels too good, and messing it all up feels too bad. I think one of the biggest mistakes I made four years ago was avoiding the scale. Never again.
I did make up “Holiday Treat Plates” last night and delivered them. I met some nice neighbors and cleared my house of the treats! While making up these plates, I put ONE peanut cluster in mouth, chewed a couple of times, then spit it out. I’m pretty sure that’s some sort of an eating disorder, but I think it’s only a disorder if you PLAN to chew it up and spit it out!! I had every intention of eating it!!! OMG, I’m psychotic.
