I’m playing with different routes in the neighborhood, and I’ve discovered a great one for a quick little workout.
I left the house with Tucker to go for a ONE mile run. My route actually ended up being over a mile, and towards the end of it, I have a sidewalk I have to run up that is a pretty good little hill. I kept my head down and only looked at the sidewalk square in front of me. When I thought I could possibly die, I stopped, only to realize I was only TWO sidewalk squares from the top of the hill!! Arg! So I started back up. I was pleased when I got home to see that I had run over a mile.
My time doesn’t reflect how fast I felt like I was going though, because along the run, we had to stop for a poop. Tucker, not me.
Before I left for my run, I got in about 15 minutes of Yoga. I’ve enjoyed learning some Yoga moves these last few weeks and it feels good to stretch and actually know what I’m doing. A few of my favorite’s are “Happy Baby”, “Downward Dog” and “Child’s Pose”. 🙂
After a nice little workout and a shower, I met a couple of girlfriends for lunch at a new shopping center super close to our house. One of the new restaurants, Rock & Brews, is apparently owned by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, of the rock bank, KISS. They are in town for the opening of the restaurant, and as we pulled up to park, they were outside doing a little photo shoot. I took a picture, but that guy right in the middle in the blue shirt was blocking my VIEW!!! If you look real hard, you can see them both in their dark hair and sunglasses!
Anyhow, it was kind of exciting. We tried to go in, but it was closed to the public for the afternoon. 🙁

I used to eat this all the time. Somewhere, I slowed down on dairy, then I only brought back my morning milk in my coffee and cheese. I miss my Greek Yogurt and my smoothies. I’ll work on that! This has tons of protein!!

I ordered this sandwich because Sidney, owner of Beauty of the Bistro Food Truck, has added a Chicken Banh Mi Sandwich to her menu recently and it is AWESOME! It’s not the most point friendly with it’s Butterred Toasted Bread and secret sauce, but it IS delicious! This is a picture I took of it when I first tried it!

This Turkey Banh Mi that I ordered for lunch at the new restaurant? I would order something else on my next visit. It was pretty though.

I don’t know JACK about photography, and I take all of my pictures with my iPhone, but occasionally a picture cracks me up! This cup looks gigantic while my banana was actually really big, and it look’s like a baby. Of course, I had already eaten half of it.

Late Night Snack
After dinner snacking has never really been an issue for me. My biggest struggle has ALWAYS been between lunch and dinner. Mike was golfing last night, my On-Demand TV stations were NOT working, and I guess I just got frustrated and bored. I ate TWO bowls of multigrain Cheerios. I did not take a picture. I’m irritated with myself because I had such a great week of eating and exercising, then I feel like I may have messed up my weigh in for this morning. I forgive myself, but I am frustrated with myself at the same time.
Here’s to the next SEVEN day’s being a SUCCESS!!
