Make Today a Great Day!

It was a great day yesterday filled with Christmas Shopping and lunch with a friend, followed by more Christmas shopping on my own that lasted until 9:00 pm!

My girlfriend helped me pick out all sorts of great things! Thanks to technology and camera phones, I was able to text one of my daughters pictures of gifts I was pondering for her family, and get immediate feedback! My shopping yesterday was super successful! 

I spend a crazy amount of time each year shopping for stocking stuffers. Since our children are grown, the main focus here on Christmas is the grandkids, except for Christmas Stockings! 

I LOVE shopping for stocking stuffers for the whole family! One of my favorite parts of Christmas is sitting in our living room with the floor covered in wrapping paper from our unwrapped gifts, and watching our kids and our grandkids go through their stockings!

The family just keeps growing too!

I’ve been spending a little time “Pinning” outfits on Pinterest. I see outfits on there put together with things that I have in my closet that I would have never have thought to put together!  After looking at a few things that I had pinned, I remembered this silly furry lined jean jacket that I had in the back of the closet. I bought this thing 7 or 8 years ago in the juniors department at Walmart for under $10 on the clearance rack! There have been many times that I’ve cleaned out my closet that I think, I need to get rid of this hideous thing, then I don’t.

I wore it yesterday, combined with a flannel shirt that Tess brought home from college three or fours years ago, and I’m certain that it belonged to one of her college guy friends.

I loved the two together and people commented on the two of them ALL DAY LONG! Cracked me up!!!

I can earn Activity Points by doing exercise, and eat them if I choose.

I have an allowance of 49 extra points that I can dip into throughout the week if I choose.

I should drink a minimum of 6 (8 oz) glasses of water each day.
