I’ve had a busy and full weekend and I allowed little time for blogging.
A couple of friends came over Friday for a small Happy Hour. Happy Hour started at 4:00 pm and ended at Midnight.
Saturday I was very busy……sleeping in. My 8:00 am Yoga class did NOT happen. Saturday evening, Mike and I had a date night. We went out for Mexican food, and the only thing that I drank was water, and more water, and then some more water. Did I mention that Happy Hour lasted longer than an hour? After dinner, movies on the couch. Possibly my new favorite way to spend a Saturday night.
Sunday was a date day with Mike that included Church, followed by a friendly debate between the two of us (we’re Catholic), a little clothes shopping, Lunch while watching the Royals game at our favorite neighborhood spot, Yoga class, then babysitting grand baby Charlotte overnight at our house. I took this picture right after she and I wrapped up a long and bubbly Bubble Bath!
This morning I’m menu planning and working on my exercise schedule for the week.
If you are a regular reader, then you know that for the last few weeks that I have been talking about only eating 10 of my 49 Weekly points, (sometimes I just like a challenge to see how my body reacts, and I get bored easily) but I seem to be having a hard time making that a priority. Well, that isn’t going to happen again this week. I have consumed all but 2 of my 49 points over the weekend.
I plan to only eat 26 Points for the rest of the week.
I won’t bore you with everything I ate this weekend, but here are a few “food” highlights of the weekend.
Simple Blueberries and Raw Walnuts. A friend of mine always seems to have this out as a snack, and I have really come to like it too! Perfect to have out for a Happy Hour snack.
I found a recipe for Buffalo Cauliflower on Pinterest and I thought that I would give it a try. At first I couldn’t decide what I thought about it, but then the more I tried it, the more I liked it.
(I am revising the PointsPlus for the Buffalo Cauliflower. I made an error in the original post saying that it was 6 Points for the entire recipe, and it is actually 15 Points.)
Click HERE for the recipe. It was super easy, and the entire recipe is 15 PointsPlus. That does not include the Ranch Dressing for dipping.
PB&J was calling my name Saturday when I finally crawled out of bed. This Almond Butter and Strawberry Jam Toast tasted so good, I ate THREE of these. Hello Points!!
This was our second visit to this little Mexican Joint that I’m now diggin. Chicken Taco’s in Corn Tortilla’s.
Sunday I was still craving bread, so I made Mike and I Breakfast Sandwiches with Laughing Cow Cheese and Egg Whites.
Then we went to lunch, and again with the sandwich! I ordered a Turkey Melt and a side Caesar.
By the evening, I had decided I’d had enough treats for the weekend and that I had better get to a Yoga class!
Now…..here’s to a KICK ASS Monday through Thursday!
Weight Watcher’s Points Plus
I can eat 26 PPV a day.
I can earn Activity Points by doing exercise, and eat them if I choose.
I have an allowance of 49 extra points that I can dip into throughout the week if I choose.
I should drink a minimum of 6 (8 oz) glasses of water each day.
My Weight Watcher Week Begins on Friday’s
Exercise = Sunday Yoga Class
Activity Points Earned for the Day = 4
Activity Points Earned This Week = 4
Activity Points Remaining This Week = 4
How many ounces of water I drank for the day = 100!
Remaining points from my 49 Points Allowance = 2
This is What I Will Accomplish in 2015
I will choose one occasion per month for Social Drinking (um…this is a work in progress)
I will go no more than two days in a row without exercise.
I will track every single day for the entire year. No matter what.
I will RUN in a minimum of six 5K’s. Three down, three to go!
“love the life you live, live the life you love”
Happy Hour can go extra long at times. Ha ha.
I made an error in saying that Cauliflower Recipe was 6 Points for the whole thing. It is actually 15 Points for the whole thing. Oops.
Hope you are doing great, Nancy!
No, but I did make the Broccoli ones and I loved them dipped in ketchup!
Sorry I have cauliflower on the brain.
Did you ever try Skinny Baked Cauliflower Tots?
The blogger suggests using ketchup but I used a honey mustard dip.
So funny–happy hour till midnight.
People don’t stay that long unless they are having a really great time.
The little one is so cute–all cuddled up.
Oh did you ever try weight watchers cauliflower poppers–I haven’t made them in a long time but I remember them tasting good.
