Getting out of bed at 10:00 am, then hanging out on the couch (and napping) until after the Chiefs game ended after 3:00 pm, probably wasn’t the best use of a gorgeous sunny day, but that’s what happened.
After the game, I took a short nap with Tucker outside in the hammock. Super short.
Then, Mike and I replaced our oven. Okay, Mike replaced our oven, I assisted. I haven’t been able to bake anything over 350 degrees for a few weeks now. The new oven has been sitting in the garage, and it just didn’t sound like a fun job, so we were avoiding it. I was worried about scratching up the new floors too! The new oven is now in, and no scratches!
He’s just so darned handy!
After that, I vacuumed. The kind of vacuuming that involved pulling out all of the attachments, moving furniture, vacuuming window seals and vacuuming the ceiling corners. I vacuumed every room in the house and washed all of the area rugs. It was my intent to spend the entire day cleaning the whole house. I vacuumed.
We ordered dinner out and Mike was going to pick it up while I finished vacuuming the ceiling. I called in the order and ordered Shrimp Fajita’s with Corn Tortilla’s, no beans, no rice, extra Fajita veggies. What I got was…. Shrimp, 3 strips of bell peppers, lots of onions, Flour tortilla’s and a container with what I assumed was my extra veggies. When I opened it, I discovered steamed broccoli, onions and zucchini??? None of it tasted very good, so I ended up eating a little of it and a few chips and salsa.
I showered at 8:00 pm and went to bed to watch the Royals lose.
Today is busy and full with a few fun things planned.

Halftime of the football game. We had no food in the house. I discovered a few Mushrooms, 1 Zucchini, 1/2 Red Onion, 1 small Sweet Potato, and a couple of Chicken Sausages in the freezer. Lunch in a skillet….seasoned with Montreal Steak Seasoning and topped with a little Dijon Mustard.
Snack – 0 PPV
Cotton Candy Grapes. I’ll need to buy some more of these!
Dinner – 12 PPV
Shrimp Fajita’s, 1 Flour Tortilla, Sour Cream, Guacamole, un-pictured Chips and Salsa

I will run in a minimum of six 5K’s. Three down, three to go!
