It feels good to be back in control. Now that my brain is where it needs to be, I should be able to get the scale back where it needs to be. I never did make it to a meeting this past week, and I won’t be able to go to my regular meeting this morning, but I feel good and I’m looking forward to a great week ahead!
Two years ago, a friend of mine and I spent St. Paddy’s Day bar hopping. We had a blast!
Last week, we made plans to repeat that day all over again. After thinking about all of the calories that we consumed that day, we changed our minds and changed our plans to do something else later this week, maybe today, maybe tomorrow.
I ended up spending the day at home taking care of things that I have been neglecting for several days. I did take a short break in the afternoon to stop by a friends house for just a bit to watch a little of the KU game, but then back to my “to do” list. My house felt super dirty, and now it does not, and I only had one beer. Successful, yet quiet St. Paddy’s day.

Don’t give up what you want in the long run, for something you want in the moment.
Sounds like your long term goals are doing well this week.
