Do You Track Your Activity?

I wear a FitBit and I’m aware of my steps. I put off getting any kind of a fitness tracker for a long time because honestly, I didn’t want a reminder at the end of the day of what I didn’t do if I didn’t get any activity in. Well, I finally caved and bought a FitBit (like…a long time ago). What I liked and what surprised me is just how many steps I was getting in on just a regular old day. Add in an intentional walk and BOOM, 10K-12K!

I’ve now come to really appreciate that little buzz it makes to get up off of my tush and move.

You can sync a variety of fitness trackers to your WW App and set an activity goal for yourself. If you don’t have a fitness tracker, you can track your activity manually. I have not paid much attention to my activity goal in my WW App, I’ve just been counting steps. Yesterday I decided to add that tool to my week. I had my goal set at 50 forever and today I’m going to increase my goal to 100. Now that I’m paying attention to it, it will be a great reminder to always keep moving and to remind myself of just how great I feel when I move.

Last week felt like a good week and I was just over 100, so it sounds like a reasonable goal to set.

Breakfast

Yogurt with an Almond Butter Swirl. I added 2 tsp of Almond Butter. Love this combo!

Lunch

I was cleaning out the fridge and freezer. I found one frozen grilled Chicken Thigh and a few fresh veggies that needed to be eaten. I sautéed the veggies in Olive Oil and garlic.

Dinner

I can’t remember what deep conversation Mike and I were having when we sat down to eat dinner, (I think we were discussing the fact that neither of us thought to mow over the weekend) but the conversation was intense enough that I forgot to take a picture of our plate of food. Mike doesn’t love these, but I don’t mind them once in a while when it’s all I kind find to fix.

Must thaw something today!

Salmon Patties with Dill Mayo and roasted Brussels Sprouts.

Since I’ve reclaimed mowing as my job, I best get out there and do it before it gets too hot!

Curious as to how many steps that gets me!

Have a fabulous day!

‘Til tomorrow!

  1. Mike claims to like them just as much as I do! Yesterday I roasted them (always cut side down) with olive oil and sea salt and added mushrooms, red onion and bacon! 😳 They made up for the blah salmon patties 😁

  2. Brussel sprouts! I LOVE them, usually grill them or oven roast them with olive oil or with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Oh yes, thinly sliced and sautéed with bacon is the best. ❤️

Last week I bought 3 pounds and as I was chopping them up my husband proceeds to tell me that he really doesn’t like brussels sprouts!

…. what???? I’ve been making them forever!!!

I guess he was just been being kind all these years but decided to now come clean. Lol!!! Maybe this falls under the philosophy, life is short? Don’t eat the brussels sprouts if you are just being kind and you really don’t like them?

So needless to say, brussels sprouts are on my plate every day this week!🤣
