I Survived Friday the 13th!

I survived the day, and NOTHING crazy or bad happened! It was actually a really great day! I got a lot of things accomplished, I saw a few friends, I picked up Tess, my daughter,  at the airport and she got in a lot earlier than I was expecting! We made it home from the airport without a flat tire or anything! I was actually so relaxed in the afternoon and evening, that I forgot to take food pictures, and I hardly ever forget that!

I’m keeping today’s post short. Busy day ahead!

The A/C guy will be here soon to give us a bid. Tess and I are taking a long walk together after that. The weather is gorgeous right now and I hope it stays that way for our outside festivities today at the Food and Beer Festival called Boulevardia!!

Music All Day Long……

My last four weeks at Weight Watchers has gone really well at the scale! I’m sure running a mile each day since the first of June has helped, along with the Yoga, and the ridiculous amount of fruits and veggies that I have been eating! I ate a little more yesterday than I should have, especially with an afternoon planned today around food and beer! Today is hopefully about tasting, sampling, and trying new flavors. I’ll be careful on the food, and try to sip the beer’s, but I know that today will be a challenge. I’ll count points as best as possible. I’ll drink lots of water, get in a nice long walk this morning, and tomorrow too! (FYI…we ARE taking a cab)

The only real kink in my day yesterday, was when I headed out for my run. I have about 15 pairs of cheap black exercise pants, and one nice pair. Some are short, some are long, some are yoga pants, some are not. Some fit great, some don’t. I got dressed in a hurry, in one of my cheap pair of pants, and headed out the door. After running about .25 miles, I realized the pair of pants that I was wearing, was one that didn’t fit too great, and every 10 steps or so, they fell below my “belly” and I was pulling them up. Between the squirt bottle I was carrying to ward of mangy dogs, and the stick I had decided to carry for back up protection, I looked like a complete idiot also trying to pull up my pants! I decided it was a nice day for a walk.
