(If you received a partial post with this same title yesterday, I apologize. I accidentally hit “publish” before I was even close to being done with my blog post!)
Yesterday was crazy and busy. Here’s a breakdown of the crazy events.
The morning started out with some guy was on the loose with a gun, close enough to my neighborhood that the schools were on lockdown and no one was walking the trails.
I ended up in morning traffic on the Interstate. I remained patient and calm until two different drivers behind me wanted to get a little too close for my comfort level. I mumbled four letter words to myself and tapped my breaks! I eventually and safely made it to the dealership to get my oil changed and my tires rotated while I enjoyed a Starbuck’s next door and some good people watching.
Then I went grocery shopping and I ate ALL of the chocolate covered almonds that I had bought from the bulk area. When I looked up the points according to the weight of the bag, it was 14 POINTS!!
I bought lots of produce to go with my bulk chocolate covered almonds!
Tucker got out in the afternoon, and I had to go hunt him down. I took off down the street with some chicken, yelling “Tucker! Treat! Tucker! Treat!”
Three doors down, there were several painters working away in the garage. I noticed the door to the house was open and it appeared they were painting inside the house too. I passed the house, and thought nothing of it. Then I came back and asked….
“Have you guys seen a little white dog?”
One of them replied. “Yeah. He went in the house.”
I’m like….uh…..did ya not notice me a few seconds ago hollering “Treat” as I walked across the lawn?”
Anyhow, they invited me and Mishka in, and we eventually found Tucker in the basement. Silly mutt!
I decided that yesterday was the day that I would get started painting my bedroom! I filled holes, I washed the walls, and I got the paint out!
I took a break in the middle of painting and met a friend to walk for a few miles.
When I came home, my garage door spring broke! The door lifted about 4 inches on one side. My neighbor jacked up one side about 10 inches, and after promising me that the door would not fall on me, I shimmied on my belly under the door. I was having a kick ass day!
Mike came home and hung shutters on the window above the garage! I have wanted shutters somewhere on our house for a long time! Watching Mike on the ladder as I leaned out of the window to help him, scared the crap out of me. But the shutters are hung! As soon as the house is completely painted, I’ll share pictures!
I was exhausted at the end of the day!
They did catch the bad guy a few miles from our neighborhood. But then on the 10:00 news last night, I heard there is some other guy on loose close to our neighborhood! What is happening?????
