Good Morning!
Well, it’s morning here. Like right now. For me. I’m in one of my Happy Places. On the deck, having coffee.
Last night I slept like a baby and the nerve block that they gave me for surgery lasted through yesterday. Yay!
Another day of rest today, then tonight I can take the brace off for a shower and exercises.
Nurse Mike has done a great job of taking care of me.
Me…..”I need my Ice packs please.”
Me….”My Yeti is ready!” (meaning I need more water) I drank over 100 oz of water yesterday. It was a great way to get me up and moving around the house throughout the day.
Me yelling……”Sir, could you please bring me another cup of coffee?” – Mike yelling…”Did you just say Sir?” – Me….”It just seemed appropriate.”
Me…..”Chinese for dinner?” (because if’s one of his favorites) – Mike…..”Sure. There is a menu you can look at in the kitchen drawer. “Me…..”Seriously?”
Me from the bathroom….”Stop putting the lid down after you’re done! Can you please bring me a pair of underwear!”
That last one. I swear he never puts the lid down and he swears that he has always puts the lid down. LOL. Ladies….I’m 51. You know how important it can be to get to the bathroom ASAP when you have that first little sign you gotta go. I was simply trying to get in that room as fast as I could. I never thought to look at the lid before I sat down! This happened twice! Add crutches to the journey to the bathroom? Aye Yai Yai.
Let’s just say that yesterday was all around comical between the two of us and I thank God everyday that that man loves me.
Yesterday
Breakfast – Yogurt Bowl
Lunch – Chicken Salad Wraps
Dinner – Chinese Take out
Egg Drop Soup sounded really good for some reason. It did NOT taste good at all.
I also ordered Moo Shu Chicken and that was delicious!
A few days before surgery, I made us Quinoa Bowls for dinner.
I reminded myself that I did an entire post about different idea’s for Quinoa Bowls a few years back.
Looking for a little Quinoa variety? Let me know if your try one of them!
Have an awesome Sunday!
“love the life you live, live the life you love”
You sound like you are on the mend. That great outlook you have helps I am sure and of course some credit to Mike. He sounds like great husband.
You sound like you are in good spirits.
Mike always seems to be smiling in your pictures and I bet you are the number one reason for those smiles (2nd those adorable grandkids–LOL).
