I first got the bug for a vintage travel trailer when I went to Branson and stayed in a cute little cabin at the KOA Campground. My dad and stepmom were attending the Vintage Rally there in their 1966 Forrester Travel Trailer and I wanted to go and see what it was all about. Well, I fell in love. You can read all about that trip in this post, Vintage Glamping 2015. I knew I really wanted to have one of my own after that trip.
“She believed she could, so she did” I love that quote!
My first trip to Branson in Effie was in 2019. We skipped last year due to Covid, and this year Mike went with us! Still not his thing, but he did go. lol
I’ll just let you scroll and enjoy the pics. I had so much fun seeing all the campers. (People. People are campers. Trailers are just that, travel trailers. It’s complicated. Wink wink. You would be surprised at the conversation this can turn into!) I’ve met so many campers over the last three summers attending these rallies. I did a terrible job of getting any camper photos but I did much better this trip of getting trailer photos!
Effie all ready for the weekend.
I had a lot of fun showing off miniature Effie too!
Folks parked beside me. Notice the miniature? One of my dads many talents.
We were able to rent a golf cart for the weekend. I rented it so dad would have more mobility around the campsite, but I think I had more fun with it than anybody.
One of my favorites. We spent a lot of time talking to this couple. Seriously in love with this VW set up!
Another fav. I met this Mother/Daughter duo at my very first Effie trip in the early summer of 2019. The outside and inside are equally adorable!
This one is a cutie too! This was her first rally and she made the 8 hour drive alone. Look how cute this is inside. It’s perfection.
Also a newbie. She said she loves to camp but had never been to a rally before. So stinkin’ cute!
I didn’t get inside pictures of every trailer, but here are a few cute outside shots.
Elvis came to Branson!
He drove around the campsite with Elvis music blaring and singing to everyone. His name is Brian and he’s been at every rally I’ve ever been to with his wife Sharon. If they aren’t cooking pancakes or hot dogs for everyone at the campground, then they are entertaining everyone. Super sweet.
Elvis and me. My stepmom, Christy and Elvis.
Dad taking us on a tour through the campground and the only picture I took of my dad or Mike. Ha!
It was a great weekend!
Ending again with one of my favorite parts of having Effie, this night time period of peace.
Really looking forward to some fall camping.
I hope you all are doing well and living your best life!
Until next time.
“love the life you live, live the life you love”
You are right! So many creative people there! It’s so much fun to see what ideas people come up with for storage or simply creative decorating ideas. I’m a little partial to Effie as well.🥰🥰🥰
🤣🤣 They must’ve gotten dirty at the campsite! 😂😂
Such creative folks, you campers! It’s fascinating to see all the decor inside and out, all the variations folks come up with. But we’re partial to Effie, of course, and nothing looks quite as adorable as she does when the sun goes down. I’m so glad you all had such a good time – including Mike! Thanks for sharing all the fun photos!
First thing I noticed about Elvis…
…his blue suede shoes….
…not! Lol
But seriously, thanks for sharing all those pictures- all so adorable!
Thank you! I figure any kinda camping is good camping! 😊😊😊 Happy you enjoyed a peek into my weekend!
