Good morning all. I’m currently cozy, enjoying my new favorite view. Sometimes I sit in the Pumpkin Chair. Other times I like to just look at it. Not even kidding.
This weather has just been crazy, from unseasonably warm temps to high winds and even tornadoes. At our house we just had high winds and rain, but I know close to home there was hail causing some concern and power outages.
I decided to just let my deck tree stay down yesterday as the winds continued to blow and pick up in speed. Mike told me that while I was at work last night, the rain came in sideways and the tree was drenched. He just walked through the room and said…”You know, if it stays cold today (yesterday 75, currently 34) that tree might freeze and have real icicles on it!”
Truth!
We typically have 25-30 members at my Wednesday evening WW Workshop, and last night I had 8 members stay while our power flickered on and off throughout the workshop. Getting out of my truck on any given day is a sight as try to gracefully glide out of the seat onto the ground holding on to the door for support. Last night when I got to work, I opened the truck door and as I turned my body to start to exit, the wind slammed the door on me as I was half way out. It didn’t hurt, but I know anyone that witnessed it was likely entertained.

Activity
40 minute full body strength training. This was a great workout. I don’t see any visible changes in my body 6 weeks in, but I know she is starting me with lighter weights and working up to the heavier ones. Right now I’m just feeling really good about having a routine and knowing what type of workout to do.

Omelet topped with Apple Fennel Pork Sausage, grapes.
Out the door soon for an errand day. Haircut included!

I have to say, I really love the fact that you often start your posts with a moment of just enjoying the season … with a cup of coffee, enjoying your cozy home all decorations … and yes, even that pumpkin chair! It’s always such a good reminder to stop and just BE during this busy time of the year. Glad you weren’t hurt in the Truck Door Slamming Incident. Scary stuff! What IS it with the weather this winter?!
