Much Better Day!!

It was a much better day on Thursday. I was focused and in control. I spent five hours at a Starbuck’s waiting for Mike’s car to get out of the shop. I blogged. I thought. I drank a Latte. I blogged. I thought some more. I drank some water. I blogged. I thought. I drank coffee, black. Then I got lunch. Geeeezzzzzz. It was a looooonnnnnggggg morning. But I never ordered anything that I didn’t need….scone, donut, cake pop……nothing. At 12:30 I was starving, and had no idea I would be there so long. I looked up the PPV for some of their sandwiches, and discovered the Spinach Feta Egg White Wrap was only 7 PPV, so I ordered that and drank more water. 🙂

When i got home, I did my 5K training. The instructions for the day were to walk 5 minutes, run 8 minutes, walk 5 minutes, run 8 minutes, walk 5 minutes. I made the 8 minutes, both times! Yay! I did it on the treadmill. I don’t know how I would have done it outside. Egads.

A friend of mine sent me a text asking me if I would like to do the 4 Mile St. Patricks Walk/Run in Kansas City this Saturday morning, so I jumped on that and got registered right away!

I’m really looking forward to an outside run and pushing myself a bit. I have no intentions of running this whole thing, but it will feel good to be with a large group and get a feel for my endurance while outside running with other people and being surrounded by so much excitement!

I went to Walmart and found this for $3! I’m ready!! (I think it’s required that you have ONE Green Beer after the run?)

My plan for the week is to have lunches and afternoon snacks planned out. Afternoons are my biggest challenge and I did really well the week before last and I think it had a lot to do with the fact that I had made the Butternut Squash Chili for my lunches for the week, and I made myself eat that! I stuck to low point snacks after lunch. It worked. Do what works, right??

I’m getting ready to hop on the treadmill before my WW Meeting this morning! I NEVER work out this early. I feel so proud. Not pretty, just proud. Yes, a true benefit of a treadmill at home, you can just hop on with bedhead and all.

Weight Watcher’s Points Plus

I can eat 26 PPV a day.

I can earn Activity Points by doing exercise, and eat them if I choose.

I have an allowance of 49 extra points that I can dip into throughout the week if I choose.

I should drink a minimum of 6 (8 oz) glasses of water each day.
