Scottsdale? Sure!

I’m on my way to the airport this morning nice and early for a last minute get away!

Since my daughter, Tess, started working for Southwest Airlines, Mike and I, as her parents, have enjoyed the benefits of “Parents Fly for Free!”. We are required to fly stand by, and we have learned to fly with a relaxed attitude since we might not get on the flight that we prefer. We’ve taken several trips using our “free flights”, and so far, each trip that we’ve taken has worked out perfectly! Tess say’s that we’ve been really lucky!

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine mentioned a business trip that she was going to be taking to Scottsdale, Arizona. After chatting for a bit, she told me that I should just hop on one of those free flights and go with her and stay in her room for free, then enjoy an evening out! I’m thinking, fly for free, stay in her room for free, be her dinner date for the evenings…..why would I NOT go?

So, I”m going!

She’ll be working during the day, I’ll be attending Yoga class, walking, sitting by the pool, and trying my best to make healthy choices when it comes to food and drinks!

We come home Wednesday night, and I’m taking my computer and blogging my way through my challenges these next couple of days.

I got in a great walk yesterday before noon! I walked with a friend, and I swear the time just flies!

I have an allowance of 49 extra points that I can dip into throughout the week if I choose.

I should drink a minimum of 6 (8 oz) glasses of water each day.
