Last year’s vacation in Cancun…..
This year’s Staycation……
Look at that sunshine coming in the bedroom window!
We skipped taking a Spring Break trip this year, so I’m super happy that’s it’s been in the 70’s here at home these last several days! It’s supposed to be gorgeous again today!
Look at what the tree’s here are doing already!
I’ve enjoyed a lot of time outside lately. I love having that first cup of coffee outside on the deck! I’ve got the deck furniture cushions all out, the umbrella is up, and I’m thinking about a little hammock time with my book this afternoon.
Yesterday, we slept in a bit, enjoyed coffee with the windows open, ate a nice big breakfast, then binge watched a little House of Card’s. We started Season Three! This show is cray cray and I love it!!
After all of that relaxing, I was ready to get outside and get some fresh air.
I suggested to Mike that it was a great day to sweep out the garage. Yay for Staycations!!! Surprisingly, he agreed! I cranked up some Classic Rock, and we got busy! Ahhh….I love a clean garage. I love a clean house! Mike was even in a mood to throw things away, and I LOVE THAT too! The trunk is now full and ready for a Goodwill drop off today. Mike even agreed to get rid of clothes in his closet! More room for me to shop!! Happy Happy!
While I had planned to spend yesterday chillin’, I ended up doing quite a bit of cleaning here and there, but now the house feels fresh and Springy!!
Tucker and I even got in a little walk through the neighborhood and around the lake.
We ate lunch on the deck in the sunshine, and we had dinner on the couch in our pj’s. We went to bed early. Those kind of nights seem to make me happier and happier lately.
I’m looking forward to a great week! Hopefully I can pull Mike away from work for a bit to enjoy “our” Staycation with me!
If you are having Spring Break this week and you stayed home too, I hope you’re able to enjoy some sunshine where you live!

“love the life you live, live the life you love”
That sounds like an amazing place for vacationing AND living! I wanna come too!
We have four grandchildren, and I know being healthier certainly makes its easier to play with them and enjoy them more!
Have a Happy and Healthy Week!
Love your food pictures. It’s amazing how much we can eat when we choose the right things. Found out today our daughter, hubby, and 4 grandkids (2 hers and 2 his) will be coming for a week in January. That’s summer for us in Australia, and we live at the beach and I’m already hearing “fishing”, “canoe”, “beach” “swimming” “broadwater” (broadwater is a nice camp and family area with great fresh water swimming” etc. I think I have just acquired the incentive I need to be and stay focused because I’m sure I’ll be wanting to keep up with the younger crowd for that week. And being fitter and healthier should get me in good stead for that week.
